I visited a friend at The Brook of West Branch close to three years ago. Her room was very nice, and they took very good care of her. Everything about the home was just grand and glorious. The help was very nice. The facade seemed very nice. It had a plain open field and a nice sliding door that went outside. It was not in a residential area at all, but it was close to medical facilities. It was a super place. They were very satisfied with the price and everything. The only thing I would ask would be a few trees outside my window.

Even after umpteen complaints with the facility, and corporate, over the last couple of years, this facility continues to take a nose dive. The food is terrible, little to no activities, unskilled help, and most of all no supervision or Manger available most of the time. They are terrible keeping family members informed. This used to be the place to go, but not anymore. Way over priced for what you get, or lack thereof. I do not recommend.

I stayed at The Brook of West Branch for 10 months. We were on lockdown, and if I left, I would be quarantined for two weeks. The staff wasn't as nice as my current facility, but the residents were nice. I have no complaints about the residents. The food wasn't as good, and there were very little activities. We had about two activities a week like bingo and an occasional movie, and we played cards one day a week, and that was it. They had an exercise room and a beauty shop, but the beauty shop was closed a lot. They also wouldn't allow family to come and visit, unlike where I'm at now.

The Brook Retirement Community is absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend it. The dining room is absolutely beautiful. They have their own library, workout room, barber shop, beauty shop, laundry facilities, exercise room, and a lot of common areas. I think everything has just worked out great.
