Meadow Lanes has clean rooms and are great at making updates to keep everything nice. The staff communicate very well and the process of getting our mother moved in was very smooth. We also have friends and other family that have been at Meadow Lanes and they have high recommendations.

We feel very fortunate we were able to find a place for our loved one in Meadow Lane's Memory Care Wing. It is a very warm, caring and peaceful environment. The staff is very kind and thoughtful and there are constantly engaging and fun activities planned for the whole community. The rooms are private and quite spacious with private bathrooms and the whole facility has a very homey feel. We are very happy with the care our loved one is receiving.

Meadow Lane is a fantastic community. The residents and their families are treated with so much respect, love, attention, and care. The staff is very attentive and responsive to family questions and concerns when health issues come up with their loved ones, and they are very helpful when more resources are needed for support. My family member now only has enough care, but also has an amazing social life. I love calling and they are too busy as they are off to an event, or exercise class, or going out for an outing. We are so thankful for all of their support. Posting anonymously as my family likes their privacy.

I placed my mom here in mid January. My mon has always been very verbal about things she doesn’t care for . Surprisingly to us her complaints are few . Her care is outstanding , mom’s health and disposition have improved 10fold . We would highly recommend Meadow Lanes to anyone. My husband has had experiences with several assistant living facilities on Saginaw . None of them come close to meadow lanes for cleanliness and care .

I went to look at Meadow Lane Assisted Living and Memory Care. I liked that it was spacious and clean. The people seemed friendly. The staff knew the patients. It seemed like there were activities to do. The living arrangements were well laid out. There's plenty of natural light and access to the outdoors. I like that it was one level, and there weren't multiple levels for travel or anything like that. It seemed like they had an official chef who would prepare the food directly instead of just a large amount of food being prepared out of cans. The staff seemed like she was just trying to rush through the tour. Although the room was clean, it looked like the bathroom had a little bit of soap scum on it, and that's inexcusable. It's right across from the Huron Medical Care facility, which would have been great. It's within two miles of Bad Axe, so you can go shopping there.

Meadow Lane is a beautiful facility. The rooms are large and comfortably decorated. The core staff is wonderful. There is always an activity or outing planned. Hairdresser comes to the facility once a week, a podiatrist visits every 8 weeks. It’s a safe environment for a senior. It puts your mind to rest to know your loved one is taken care of but can still be independent.

I find everyone so caring and friendly at meadow lanes! My mother can choose to participate in the activities she loves bingo and retrieving her monthly prizes. Friends and family can visit anytime. The food is good she can choose to eat in her room or in the main room! I love all the effort Lori puts in to keep the clients out of their rooms.

I visited a family friend at Meadow Lane a few times before and try to stop every time I am in town. She always has nothing but positive things to say about living there. She says she is always treated like family and the staff go above and beyond to help her when needed. Her room is very cozy and feels like home. Based on her experience I would suggest anybody in the area needing assisted care visit Meadow Lane. You won’t be disappointed.

My mother is in Meadow Lane Assisted Living & Memory Care. The best things about the place are the convenience and friendly and knowledgeable staff. They offer exercising, bingo, baking, and entertainment, and my mother is involved in all of them. She's been there for three weeks now. The food is very good. The facility is clean.

My husband moved to Meadow Lane Assisted Living and Memory Care. I love the place, and I think they are great. They are caring and very communicative, and I am very happy to have him there. There are 14 people in the memory unit, so it's very quaint and small. Everybody gets added special attention. The staff is very well-trained, and they have been doing this for a while. They are very communicative. I had a meal there, and it was really good. The place itself is spotless. They play games. They play bingo. They have a church there, and they keep people active there. I searched around. For what they offer, the cleanliness, and everything about it, I think it has value for the money. He has a nice room. It is a really good size and he doesn't share it with anybody, everybody's got private rooms. In the middle of it, they have a nice courtyard where they let them go out in the summertime. The views of the rooms are out into cornfields and you can see deer out there.

A safe environment with spacious rooms. Staff at Meadow Lanes are all very kind and helpful. The activities calendar is appreciated, gives me an insight into my moms week. The food is always good, several suggestions by mom have been added to the menu. She enjoys Happy Hour and Bingo!

Mom moved in almost one month ago and has made the adjustment very well thanks to the warm and caring staff of Meadow Lane, the many residents she knows, the good food and various activities that help fill her days! Unfortunately, as is the case everywhere now, and for far too long in the healthcare field - most especially with residential care- the shortage of help in all departments is a real and present problem but with a little patience and persistence, it has not proved as much an issue as one might expect, although time will tell on that! So far, we’re very pleased with Moms new home and look forward to her enjoying a safe and secure (dreary!) Michigan winter! If affordable to your family, we would strongly recommend checking into Meadow Lane for your loved one when that time comes…

Administration and staff of Meadow Lane provide care for my parents as if they were members of their own family. They understand the emotions residents experience when they make the decision to leave their home of forever behind. I am thankful my parents chose to reside at Meadow Lane because they receive all the attention and care they should after working hard all their lives. Growing old is different for everyone, at Meadow Lane, the staff recognize that and make every effort to make these the best years of their elderly lives.

One of my parents lived in this facility for over 2 years. As with any place, it has its good and weak points. The weakest point is the food. I have tasted several of the dishes and frankly, eating Gordon Food quick food is not good, especially on a sustained basis. Example: tomato soup was the worst I have ever eaten anywhere (tried on 3 occasions), and grilled cheese was awful. Some of the lunch/dinner meats were bland and of poor texture. A lot of the food seemed to be prepackaged heat and eat type. Lot of individual serving fruit cups and pudding loaded with sugar. Special holiday meals were very good, probably cooked from scratch somewhere. Too bad those meals weren't available more often. Most of the caregivers were excellent and compassionate, ran into a few issues with some of the evening/holiday caregivers, but overall care was good. Facilities are very good, we only had a couple housekeeping issues that were ultimately resolved. Enrichment activities were typical for assisted living. Hard to get activities that appeal to a wide range of backgrounds and likes. I give Elizabeth credit for being persistent. Glad that they offered Mass weekly. Management staff was accessible and supportive. Yearly meetings were held to review care/concerns/potential improvements. Over the time we were involved with ML, there were more and more "corporate" mandates for this or that. Corporate required using their chosen pharmacy and primary care providers. First primary care group (North something) was slow in responding and took over 8 months to review medication usage by patient, that's totally unacceptable. The second/replacement primary care group, Caroline, was much more responsive and did a much, much better job taking care of our loved one. Pharmacy pricing seemed competitive to buying from online pharmacies. If we had to do it over again, we would use ML.

My mother has been at Meadow Lanes in Bad Axe, MI since June. She has nothing but praise for the entire experience. As her family, we agree!!! Her apartment is spacious, homey with lots of windows, comfortable for her. The staff has been amazing starting from our first visit with Becky S, the Director. Of course being a small town, Mom knows more residents and staff then she expected! She enjoys the food and dining staff. She feels there are always lots of options and frankly, thinks there is so much food!!!! She has lots of food allergies/sensitivities, so the food service team have been wonderful helping her with options. Laundry service is great as well as the cleaning team. As a frequent visitor, the website to request a visit time, is easy. Check-in with temperature checks is appreciated. I truly believe Mom is amongst friends at Meadow Lanes. It has been a huge breath of fresh air for me and my siblings knowing that she is not alone, "hanging" with friends, and being lovingly taken care of by the Team at Meadow Lanes....from maintenance, to hospitality, to food service, to laundry, cleaning and the nurses. Thanks Meadow Lanes for al you do!!!!
