My sister is a resident of Eastpointe Nursing Care Center for 1 ½ years now. Overall, there were many good things, but from time to time, we have issues there with care. There were some CNAs who were not helpful, but some go above and beyond. She's in a private room, but she shares a bathroom with individuals in a shared room. The activities there are very good, they have entertainment from time to time on the second floor in the area that they use as a dining room, they schedule it in between dinner and supper time. They do some kind of bowling, they do bingo, and trivia. She's covered by Medicare and Medicaid.

People need to be aware that this facility, as much as they seem to care, can not administer medications on time as perscribed by Doctors. I dont usually write bad reviews, but I feel people need to know what my experience has been with Eastpoint Eastpoint has just 1 job to perform for my mother and that is to "Give my mother her medication on time". They have failed since the 1st day and its been 6 months since she been there. Because of this inability she suffers everyday and every minute she does not receive her medications on time. Staff needs to be better trained to listen, show empathy, be patient and show better respect to the patients. If you can avoid a being a patient at any nursing home, especially this one, please avoid it..... as much as possible.

My sister spent a week here & left even though she should have had post-surgery rehab for 2 weeks. The care was so poor she did not want to stay any longer. The night time care was non-existent. She would buzz for help & no one would answer. She arrived on a Friday & stayed in her bed until Monday even though her doctor expected that she start therapy immediately. The therapists were very good but the rest of the place is poor.
