Dementia care training is ongoing thru the Alzheimer's Association and other Contractors as per the guidelines of the Office of Health Care Quality.

The overall population is currently one male and 3 females, we are licensed for 8 residents. Their average age is 85. The sit out on our deck, listen to music and watch their favorite shows on TV.
What programs or activities does Homecrest Assisted Living offer to enrich residents' well-being?
We offer music therapy, board games, walks to the park, which is close by, bird watching and gardening.

Homecrest Assisted Living is located on a cul de sac with a park. Their are benches in the park and residents can enjoy nature a block away.

We offer Metro Access or private contracted transportation.

The residents enjoy home cooked meals. Since we are a small group of maximum 8 people, meals are customize to fit individual needs, including ethnic meals.
What safety features or security measures does Homecrest Assisted Living offer to assisted living residents?
All doors and windows are armed and monitored by a security service. Homecrest has a sprinkler system and a built in generator for the entire house.
How does Homecrest Assisted Living keep residents' families informed about their loved ones?
We send text, photos', email and phone calls. We communicate with family member as often as the family likes and there are quarterly family meeting regarding the wellbeing of the residents.
What is the care staff-to-resident ratio at Homecrest Assisted Living during daytime and nighttime hours?
There are always two employees on duty, with a maximum of eight residents our care ratio is 4:1 . We also employed part time assistance for social activity and Nursing care.

About Homecrest Assisted Living
Homecrest Assisted Living is a residential home located in Silver Spring, MD. It is a handicap-accessible home surrounded by trees and has a large backyard. It is convenient to local hospitals, shopping, theaters and places of worship. Our rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished. We also have a large outside deck that can be used for potted plants and vegetable gardening.
