I was favorably impressed on my admittedly short visit. My husband liked it too. I like the multicultural aspect. My husband gobbled down the Korean food, and I assured him he will like the Iranian food and Spanish food too. We were greeted personally and warmly by the director, the nurse, the social worker, the cook, and at least two other lovely people whose titles I forget. My husband was assured that he may bring his own weights to lift (he said the ones there are too light for him), and he is game to take a yoga class. I promised him a new bathing suit for swimming days. I left after about an hour, and he stayed for another hour. They brought him home. He told me about the shopping trips they told him about. There is indeed one large room, and there are actually several smaller rooms around the perimeter. There is also a walking path, marked off with tape, and I was told the attendees are encouraged to walk around the room, during an organized walk. The nurse is on-site every day, and the social worker is there 3 days/week, I think she said. We will give this a try. I am optimistic that this place will be a good fit.

I was pleasantly impressed with this facility. When I visited the facility with my 93 year old father, we were greeted warmly and the staff was friendly and professional. The facility was very clean. The large room had soothing music and most of the participants were out shopping. I enjoyed the multicultural environment, the languages and food that are offered. The staff was kindly toward my father. They offer many activities (craft, art, music and exercise) to keep the residents involved and stimulated.

Bella's Reserve had only one really large room and a couple of small rooms. Almost everybody was in this big room and too many people and many things were going on. It was noisy and my husband didn't like it. He wouldn't even go there for the day. A large number of the people were speaking in Korean and this was disconcerting to him. They do have free transportation from our house and it was walking distance from where we live. He could have tried to leave and go back to our house which won't work out well.
