My mom is at Pontchartrain Health Care Center. So far, I've been very pleased with it. They're good staff. The people seem like they care about the patients. She has only been there a short time, but we are pleased with it. The food is okay. She's not making any complaints about it. They have activities and everything for them. I would commend the staff very highly.

Rooms were to small. Never had a problem with staff. Activities were good to go. The part I liked was they had restorative therapy. Where I am now, they dont. All rooms are 2 man rooms. Meals are by menus. I shud have stayed in mandeville(home).

Clean. Friendly & knowledgeable staff. My wife was in for rehab. Rehab staff was excellent. She gets around better than she did prior to her hip surgery! Nurses were so caring and kept me well informed of my wife's care. Food was pretty good. My wife is a picky eater so sometimes she would ask for something else. The building is older but they keep it clean. They kept her busy with Bingo and arts & crafts. They have a beauty shop on site that you can get your hair done weekly for free. She loved that. Highly recommend.

My mother resided here last year when the virus started. The staff kept me updated on a regular basis and let me visit her when it was safe. They did a good job and she got strong enough to go back to her home.

I was extremely pleased with the care and love they showed my grandmother. She was here for almost 2 months after having a stroke. The therapy people were excellent and very encouraging. The nursing staff was so knowledgeable, caring and kind to her. The food was very good. If my grandmother did not like the main dish, she could always get something else. The building is old but very clean and well maintained. There were no odors which was very important to me. I would definitely want my grandmother to go back there if she ever needed to.

Not very good, old building. Most staff members are more interested in their phone than the residents The food left a lot to be desired. When a problem is brought up to higher staff thats as far as it goes, the upper level (management) does not follow thru and on the weekends no management at all

Pontchartrain Health Care Center has a wing that is just for rehab patients, and the other wing is for patients that need extra care. If you're in need of care, I'm sure it's fine. It's not a really great place, but they did a good job for my husband. But as far as living there for any length of time, I don't think anybody would be really happy with it. The people who are in charge of the facility seem to be very nice, knowledgeable, and caring, and the ladies do the rehab did well.

Pontchartrain Health Care Center had the physical and speech therapies. It was very good, but the facility is old and not updated. The food was horrible and not edible. It was insulting. I didn’t care for the way they handle things at all.

I was satisfied with Ponchartrain Nursing Home, but all nursing homes stink to high heavens. I think the staff was pretty good.
