We chose Bethany Lutheran Home because it was close to our home. I like the staff, the facility, and the respect they give to my wife. They're very accommodating and very respectful. They take her to therapy every day. They're trying to get her back to at least maintaining to use a walker but she has a long way to go. I've seen they have a daily calendar and I see people participating. It seems very entertaining. It's very nice and comfortable. I'm very happy with Bethany Lutheran Home.

I have visited many facilities in this area and find Bethany to be THE friendliest and helpful. Sometimes staff is slow to respond when everyone is on their call light at the same time. We looked to admit on the weekend for rehabilitation but they don't work weekends. Rehab started Monday and they were excellent.

Let me start off by saying I had to rate this place to have my review published. If I was able, I would not have rated it at all. I recently had a relative sent to Bethany and it was absolutely appalling. They are unable to walk and went to Bethany for physical therapy. Not only was the staff unaware that therapy was even needed, but they seemed to have an excuse for their shortcomings. After just 2 days, we removed our family member. The staff didn't respond to her need to use the facilities either day; please remember, she couldn't walk...she needed assistance for this. She was not given breakfast on her first full day. She was told when breakfast was, but she explained she couldn't leave to get it without aid. I guess to them that meant she didn't want it? Members of my family questioned staff looking for explanations and the only response we really got was "she didn't have to wait that long." This is in regards to the staff not responding to her calls to USE THE RESTROOM! She should not have had to wait more than a few minutes. There were other issues, but at the risk of making this review too long, I'll digress. We are all disgusted with the care and treatment given at this "home." Bethany Lutheran, you are a place to care for and rehabilitate those that need it. How dare you take that responsibility so lightly.

Bethany Lutheran Home is a nursing home. The cleanliness was very good, and there was hardly ever any smell. We had a friend there, and we visited her quite frequently. We had been in some other nursing homes, and I feel the smell is very important. At Bethany Lutheran, there was very few times that you would even notice a smell which I consider outstanding. They were very caring. The activities are very good. My friend had two people in the same room. I didn't have any idea on what the financial cost was, but I would imagine if cost wasn't a factor you'd probably want to have your own room. She did have complaints about the food, but we ate several times with her, and I don't fault them for that. They are doing very well for the many people that they serve.
