My brother is in Evergreen Estates III, but he needed to move into a memory care facility. The staff is very caring. It's a very clean facility and he's comfortable there. They have three meals a day and snacks in between. The food is very nutritious and has a lot of variety. They have activities throughout the month. They also have barber days where the barbers and hair stylists come in once a week. We just recently signed him up for the gerontology service, which means he does not have to leave the center to be seen for any medical needs. Considering the nursing care, I think that they are excellent, because when they do med rounds, they have one card for each resident. And they do two rounds a day, morning and evening. They have registered nurses and LPNs.

I went to Evergreen Estates III. It was good. Everybody was friendly. The place was nice, clean, and orderly. They were kind of in a lockdown because one of their residents had COVID. The apartments were nice, they were a little small but they were nice. The person who gave me the tour was very nice. She gave me all the information. She gave me a pamphlet and we went over prices and that sort of stuff. She was nice about all that. The dining area was open, nice, and clean.

I have decided to put my mother in an assisted living place here in Cedar Rapids called Evergreen Estates III. I chose it because of the financial aspect, and I wanted her to be closer to where I live. The staff seemed very friendly and very concerned about the residents. The rooms were nice, clean and seemed to be well taken care of. The place was nice. I've been in nursing my whole life, and as far as taking care of the elderly, I kind of know what to look for. Sometimes people think just because you get all lavish and pay all these extra money for different facilities, you're going to get the best care; to me, that's not always the case. I look for different things like end-of-life care from the staff and not so much the look and the money you're spending.

We have my dad settled in at Evergreen Estates. We chose it for the atmosphere, the manager, the size of the room, and everything. The person that assists me during my visits is very helpful. My father says the food is very good. The dining room is very nice. They have activities, like something like somebody playing music of some kind. They have church services and that kind of thing.

I ended up going with Evergreen Estates III. It is not upscale, but it is still nice. They have very friendly staff. They did not have as much outdoor space as the other facility I went to. It is in an OK neighborhood. They have bingo and music. The residents seem very friendly, and they seem content there. The food could be improved. My mother said it is not as good as they say.

My father was in this facility for a few years. He eventually had to move to a full care facility due to his health and lack of ability to walk. I was impressed with this facility from the moment I walked in. It was clean and airy. An attendant was always present near the front door and just down the hall from the residents. The cafeteria was also very clean and the food wasn't bad. They would often have special events like Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners plus celebrate the residents birthdays. My father's room was nice. It was always well maintained and clean. He really enjoyed his stay there. The nurses and attendants were always available for him, day or night. They were very attentive and friendly. Even the head of the facility would visit him from time to time. Overall, it was a good experience for dad, and he hated to leave. I highly recommend this facility.
