"Cottage Grove Place was very elite. The facility was very nice. The accommodations are beautiful. The dining area is beautiful. You get a punch card for luncheons there. There's an exercise area and a beautiful garden area. Your appliances are all there. There was a small stove, a refrigerator, and a dishwasher. The staff was kind and very knowledgeable. The food was excellent. They have underground parking as well."

"I liked many things about Meth Wick Health Center. I was born and raised in that neighborhood as a child. It also had many people from the Church that I served, and it was a full care. It was near to all the other things that we were used to, like workout center, groceries and all. There was a wide variety of rooms. We were there the other day, and they welcomed us to all their activities. They had musical programs. They had interesting meal arrangements. There were several communities there or different housing sections. You could cook your own or you could go with the community lunch or dinner, which means there was a good cross section of people that you meet each time you were there. "

"Oaknoll nursing home is a great nursing home in a quiet community. Located on the west side of Iowa City residents are close to the downtown area but also have a quiet living environment because they live near mostly graduate students. Iowa City is a great college town that has many activities and restaurants. There is also a Wal-mart nearby. During the tour there was a wonderful screened in porch and sun room, plus a recently added spa and movie theater. I was surprised that there was also a gym and full sized swimming pool, because I enjoy doing water aerobics and it seemed like a nice place to do them. If the transition to assisted living is necessary that service is found on site as well. The people I saw at Oaknoll seemed happy and seemed to be at least in their 60's. I'm not sure if this is where I will wind up retiring to but it is certainly a great choice. "

"Terrace Glen Village was nice, but not as nice as the others, and the activities were minimal in comparison. We weren't very impressed with the food. The amenities were nice, but not as comprehensive as the other places. The marketing people were nice."
