I toured The Retreat at Leisure Living for myself. I liked that it was all on one level and that it was extremely clean. It seemed like it would be the ideal place for me. I would still do my own laundry and cooking. It'll just be a place where I wouldn't have to worry about maintaining the house. The staff was very, very helpful. They showed me a one-bedroom apartment and a studio apartment. I liked the fact that there was a common area, an exercise area, and it had its own outside entrance to the rooms. I was very impressed with this place.

Built in 2020, the community offers a comfortable residential environment with studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartment options. The Retreat is specifically designed for independent seniors and is not an Assisted Living facility, making it a suitable choice for residents who can manage their personal care independently but appreciate convenient services, social opportunities, and a supportive community environment.
The community offers a variety of apartment layouts to accommodate different lifestyles and preferences. Residents can choose from studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom residences, providing options for individuals as well as couples. The property does not have an elevator, so residents should consider the location of their apartment and mobility needs when selecting a residence. Monthly rent includes water, sewer, trash, electric, basic cable, two meals per weekday from Monday through Friday, light housekeeping twice a month, and a full calendar of community events. Residents also receive priority access to the Leisure Living hair salon. Social events, community outings, entertainment, and organized activities provide regular opportunities for residents to meet neighbors, develop friendships, and remain active. One of the community's key features is its focus on independence and maintenance-free living for adults 55 and older. Residents can enjoy their own private apartment while having access to shared amenities and an active social environment. The community's all-inclusive pricing structure covers many everyday household expenses, helping residents plan their monthly budgets more easily. My aunt moved into The Retreat at Leisure Living. I really like that they provide meals for her during the week. She loves it there. I like that she's getting to meet new people and being around people on a daily basis. She is having so much fun. She loves working the puzzles and just getting to talk to people and taking trips. I like that they take them on trips and they get out in the community. The residents went to see the Fantasy of Lights over the holidays. She had her hair done, but it wasn't located at the facility. She had to drive down the road to it. They give them monitors to wear where they can push a button in case of emergency. My aunt loves the food, and they have a chef that comes in. The dining area was a nice size and I think it even has a grand piano right there. That's where they work their puzzles, and it has a nice, big fireplace. The part that she's in, she doesn't have to go outside to go to the dining hall or to go get her mail. It's all inside. They have outside doors where they can park and go out of their apartment, and then they have inside doors that are connected to a hall where they can go get their stuff. She took one of the rooms that also has an inside hallway. They take them to the doctors and they take them to Walmart every week. Her rent includes utilities, housekeeping every two weeks, and they pick up the garbage.

Beautiful new facility! Big tv to watch with other residents! Gym had easy equipment to use. Amber D went above and beyond during the leasing process. Can’t explain how helpful she was. This is the place you or your loved ones want to be!

Visited during their open house and the building was full of excited visitors, including myself. They had delicious snacks prepared in their kitchen and I received a packet that included an invitation to return to eat lunch, which I did and it was marvelous! The facility is beautiful and very clean, it is the nicest community I have visited so I was very surprised that the rents were so low! I looked at 2 homes, a one bedroom that was very spacious and a 2 bedroom. I loved the 2 bedroom because it had 2 bathrooms so I could have my own and my guests could use the additional bath. While there, they had a Bingo game going and I stopped to ask a resident if she enjoyed living there and she grabbed my hand and told me I HAD to move in, that it was a great place, staff was very attentive and friendly and that she had lived in their other Leisure Living community for 15 years before moving over to the new community, The Retreat. I can't wait to sell my home now to join this community, which feels like a luxurious country club!
