Caroleton Manor was where my mother-in-law was in her final days, and that wasn't near as nice. She went into assisted living and then she got to where she had dementia. She was in a 4-bedroom room and there was one chair and they had her sitting in it, so there wasn't any place. We didn't see any activity because she just sat in a chair, mummified. She would bite and kick people. She was mean, so they had to keep her sedated, but that was for her own good as well. I can't complain about the way the facility took care of her because I never saw them being mean to her. They said you could take her out of her room and move her down the hall to an open area, but they always had TV so loud you couldn't hear so we didn't bother trying to maneuver her down the hallway. The staff was all nice when we there. The security was fine. They didn't have an eat-in cafeteria, restaurant or dining room. They had Meals on Wheels delivered once a day.
