My stepdad moved into Keepsake Village of Columbus Memory Care a month ago. We like it. It's all memory care. And their bedroom door is locked so that other residents don't come in and take stuff, and they can't go into other residents' rooms and take stuff. My stepdad has dementia, so we needed a memory unit. The staff are wonderful. It's small. They only have a total of 48 beds. We like the staff. The food is delicious. It's very clean. They keep them all together. They all come out of their rooms in the morning and have breakfast and they get them all up and dressed and everything, which I like they are completely dressed. They exercise. They go on outings mostly just like a bus ride out through the country or something like that or maybe to Walmart. He's pretty far advanced and gets tired quickly, although most of the residents are mobile. They have a courtyard. It's in a square and they have a courtyard that they can go into. It's really lovely, but they have activities all the time. And then in the evening when we've been there they are getting everybody like watching a movie and kind of quieting down, and then they take them out, one or two at a time and get them ready for bed and put them to bed. So they spend a lot of time together, but they can go to their rooms if they want. My stepdad doesn't like to be alone, so sometimes he comes out and sleeps on one of the couches at night and they let him. He's 92. I love the layout of the building. It's in a square. So, they can just walk around in a square and they don't get lost. And the courtyard is in the middle. So there are several doors. They can go out into the courtyard and they're safe. So, I think the layout is excellent.

My father moved into Keepsake Village of Columbus Memory Care. They are very caring and they've been very accommodating. If there are any issues, they'll call us. They keep in contact with us constantly and they send pictures of him doing activities. They sent pictures of him dancing. They have people from Franklin College come in and do concerts. They helped us move stuff into the facility. They've been very accommodating in every aspect of the transition. I can call and leave a message and they'll call me back immediately. The room that he has is pretty big, and it's got a big walk-in closet. The only thing it does not have is a kitchenette. We were able to decorate it however we wanted and bring things from home that he can relate to.
