"Four Seasons is very nice. They are always in the process of repainting, re-carpeting, and redoing the apartment when somebody moves out. It's very well-kept. Looks like they offer excellent food, too. At the moment, their visitation is open and they wear masks inside."

"Willow Crossing Health & Rehab was a little light on the help, and so it wasn't so good to me. Sometimes they had trouble getting everybody down to dinner at the right time. There were a lot of residents being left on the hall, and another girl was talking on the phone while another girl was texting. I didn't appreciate that at all. That told me right away what their priorities were. I would not recommend this place. They didn't have adequate staffing. It looked like some food was burnt, and it didn't look like the residents were getting the right portions of food that they needed. It looked like kids' food. They need to get more help and ban cellphones during work hours. "

"My mom had a good experience at Silver Oaks Health Campus. The only issue I had with this facility was they were losing, and replacing mom’s prescription drugs. They would put them into her drawer. Other than that, after we had straightened that out, everything was very good. Mom has a studio apartment with a little kitchenette. She had the one that’s partially furnished with bed, a chair and a table. She likes the food, and the dining room has a very nice set up. They sit my mom in a table with the residents of the same interest; so my mom was enjoying that. Aside from the prescription, they were very good. They have a lot of social activities. Her physical therapist was good. "

"Millers Merry Manor is a beautiful facility set next to Shaefers Lake outside of Hope Indiana. Upon my initial visit the staff were very friendly and toured the facility with my brother and I and showed us the living accommodations, cafeteria or dining area, shower and bathing area, and recreational area which included a garden out side both wings for warm weather. They conducted certain activities on every other mid-afternoon. Activities included bingo, bible study, birthday parties, outings, and relaxing outside. During holidays the staff throw little parties to make residents at home, and help make them feel involved in their new community. Their is even a resident council which handles easy tasks to bring out the busy body in the residents that require such. Local churches often come to the facility and conduct service for those residents whom would like to and is encouraged. Local clubs also spend time with the residents such as the boy scouts bring in new decorations for the facility. In whole this facility was well kept, respectful to residents and their rights, and provide a loving long-term care or rehabilitation environment. "

"Brown County Health and Living's location was convenient for us. I lived in the same town as the facility so I knew the people in the area. The rooms were basic. They kept them clean. They were big enough for 2 beds. There was nothing special about them but it was important to me that the staff did take care of their facility. If there were any complaints it would be that the food wasn't great. The people seemed to be very caring though. I felt they addressed my parents' needs and they were always there to listen if I had any concerns. They made sure I was happy with the facility. There were times that the atmosphere seemed depressing since it's a nursing home. My father especially didn't feel like there was much for him. His condition wasn't as bad as my mom's, therefore he felt kind of isolated. My mom didn't seem to complain about the services though. "

"My mother is a resident of this facility. She suffers from Severe Dementia and Advanced Parkinsons. I am her Guardian. I receive NO communication as to her physical or medical condition unless I demand it. I am notified as SOON as there is a financial issue, however. This was the only facility that offered a Medicaid bed at the time of her transfer. That does not mean she should receive subpar care and consideration nor should I. "

"My mom stayed at Thornton Terrace Health Campus. The place was very good and my mom was well taken care of. The people and the staff were very nice, down to earth, and caring. We just couldn't afford the price. I liked that it's really close to home, so it was really convenient. They kept Mom active and they also took her on field trips. They kept her motivated."

"The rooms were dirty. The bathrooms even worse. Interactions with Staff? Really....they were the worse people I have ever interacted with in my life. I have to assume that the staff receives training on how to be rude to patients and their guest. Only activity I saw there was smoking. Signs in the rooms give the smoking times. Or as the sign says "Smokeing Times"......And they were gathered up like cattle and sent them on their way. The community should do something about this place. Either close it or restaff... My sister died there. She died in the worst conditions anyone should die in.....And yes, I was there to see it all happen......"
