Majestic Care of North Vernon

My stepdad was a past resident of Majestic Care of North Vernon. He was there for only six weeks. The food looked like mush and it was like hard for them to eat. Like they'd have this real tough piece of meat that was, I don't know, maybe three by four inches big and they had plastic forks and spoons to eat with. Most of them have false teeth. Some of them have no teeth. So that was difficult. And he had to share a room, and his roommate kept getting feces all over the bathroom. And, every time we go in, they would say, well, you can clean it or you can wait until housekeeping gets here, which might be two hours. And the urine smell is really bad. As for activities, they had nothing for them to do.

I visited Premier Healthcare of North Vernon (Formerly Jennings Healthcare Center) when my friends were there. The daughter was there for two months and the mom was there for a month. They were very attentive to them. The room that they stayed in was in the physical therapy section because the daughter was in physical therapy. The mother moved there temporarily because she fell when she was living at home. It was very clean. The staff was excellent and my friends also felt that they were excellent, but they were not happy with the food at all. Overall, the daughter was pretty happy with it. It was just very expensive. I never noticed any odor there. It was amazing.

The staff was wonderful at Jennings Healthcare Center. It was in an older building, but it's very well-kept. The food is not bad and the rooms were nice.

my father is in this health care facility and has been now since April 2010. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. The care is awful. The nursing staff does not care about the patients. They leave them in their beds for long hours at a time, they have to sit in their wheel chairs an hour and a half at the table before the meal is served. Not recommened at all!

has now got the demnetia care up and running the nurses and cna have training and are awesome working in this enviroment!
