"Staff is helpful but hard to find. The building itself is quite new but the insides are boring and already outdated looking. The grounds are kept very nicely with lawn care provided. A few years back a security gate was added, which is more of a nuisance than an additional layer of security. My grandparents are in their late eighties and have absolutely no desire to move, but I wish there was a bit of a nicer place for them. They can afford a nicer place but are happy there because they have many friends and daily activities. There are social activities like BINGO, HAPPY HOOKERS, CHESS CLUB, POKER TOURNAMENTS etc weekly. These activities along with the ease of getting to and from the supermarket and pharmacy keep them happy enough to stay there for now. "

"I was very interested in Spring Oak of Toms River. The independent apartment that I looked at was done beautifully and everything was up-to-date, but certain parts of the establishment inside looked a little rundown. What I liked about it was they had a great program, the price was right, and they had a lot of people there to help. The staff was very helpful and very informative. They had a lot to do there, they had different locations, and you had the choice of staying in your room for most of the time if you wanted to. The one I saw was like a studio apartment. Everything looked clean."

"First things first, Lesuire Village is amazing. My grandma and grandpa that I visit usually 2-3 times a months are residents there so I have so experience within the facility. Starting from when you enter to leave thats how I'll explain it. You enter into the front gates which have a private security officer and the landscape around the front is beautiful. Blossoming trees and flowers with a spewing water type of thing in the middle that has lights at night make it look like something you'd see in Las Vegas. As you enter there's about three different directions to get to homes. As you pass by homes are kept in tip-top shape and the lawn is maintained to the maximum. As you walk in my old folks home, probably like others, there's and 4 person couch and two love seats on each sided facing a center TV. Behind that is the kitchen and dining room. Down the halls is a bathroom and 3 bedrooms. Outside there's a room with screen nets on the windows, great for little get togethers or just wanting to enjoy the full moon and animals at night. I would deffinatly recommend this place to anyone looking for a retirement home with assisted living. "

"I've lived in Greenbriar Woodlands for almost ten years now. It's great. The people are nice. We're happy here. However, I want to downsize or get help for my husband. He had a stroke recently, and I need help with him, that's why I'm thinking of moving. They have everything here. They have 1200 houses here and maybe twenty-five-to-thirty different models, so there's a home for everyone. They have a lot of amenities. They have a pool. It's a gated community. They have a clubhouse for every kind of amenity you could think of. They have different clubs. They have a knitting club, a sewing club, all kinds of dancing, card games, and dinners. They're very well equipped with everything. However, I don't think they do a very fantastic job of caring for the grounds. For the personal homes, I don't think they're taking care of them that well -- for example, things like cutting the grass or removing the snow. There are a lot of rules and regulations. The number-one thing that I don't like about it is that you have to keep the garbage in your garage, and they don't allow you to have it outside, which I think is very unhealthy. I have taken this up with them many times. A lot of people are for it, and a lot of people are against it. But they tell you if you don't like the rules and regulations, then you don't move here, or you move out. That's the only thing I don't like about it. You're not allowed to have a shed, and you're not allowed to have a clothesline. They want everything very nice looking. It's a very nice-looking community. The people keep up their houses very, very well. That's why the community is so very well kept, so the only thing I don't like personally is the rules and regulations; there are a lot of rules I don't like."

"My sister has moved into Silverwoods. It's very cheerful and very pleasant looking. They have security, so it's very safe. It's very clean and very neat. It just looks like a very homey place, a comfortable place you would like to stay. The staff is very efficient, and any questions that we had, they were either calling us back or we met with them. They were exceptionally comfortable with us. They offer all kinds of crafts and trips. There's a clubhouse that they can go to onsite. There is a restaurant where you can go and have your breakfast and lunch. If not, they will deliver it for you. Everything about it was very, very nice. She has eaten at the clubhouse, and she said it was very good. She's very comfortable there. She has her own facility and she's not alone. There are other folks around if she wants to socialize."

"Independent..assisted..nursing all different. We did not experience nursing as much due to Covid and isolation. Independent was excellent….assisted was very good. The staff had exceptional people in it with great caring personalities."

"The tour that we had at Seabrook was very interesting. It looks very nice, but it’s enormous and a beautifully run place. You have to walk through about seven interconnected buildings, from one to the other. They have a little jeep that runs around the property every 15 minutes, so you could take that. They had a dining room; we were in the one of the clubhouses, and the dining room is in the other clubhouse, so you have to take the bus to get to the other clubhouse where they have the dining room. We did see their informal dining room; they have a buffet setup and more informal meals. "

"We moved my brother to The Triton House. We like that it is very clean, they give good care, and the food is good. They watch TV and order pizza. There is a county bus that will take them to doctors' appointments, and there is also a doctor that visits. They are provided three meals a day and laundry services. "

"We went to The Arbors. It was very nice. It was clean. The people seemed very nice. The staff that I saw seemed very nice. The facility looked nice and clean. We just went through it very quickly because there was COVID. Everybody was nice. We went in person, but we all had masks on. We really couldn't talk to anybody and there really wasn't a lot happening."

"I had a very nice experience when I visited Waterside Villas. The staff was excellent. They treated me very well and gave me all the information that I needed. The lay out and the apartment that they showed me were very nice. They have all kinds of activities and everything you could possibly needed. "

"I am living here for almost 8 years. I have a one bedroom apartment. I have parties in one of our many day rooms, so I don’t need a larger place. I co- chair our green house and am a member of our Grounds committee. We live in an arboritem which is 100 acres. Every season is wonderful. If you love nature, this is the place for you. We have so many activities that it’s hard to choose. Sometimes I just stay home and work on my hobbies. We have a librarian for our library. She can also get me a book from the county library. I love our formal dining room, but sometimes I just pick up something light from our cafe. Come visit us."

"The experience with The Renaissance was wonderful. It was a clean and beautiful community and the people were very friendly. The staff was very helpful and was available to answer any questions that I had. They have all different types of activities like bingo, day trips, and a club house. It was a nice facility. The staff was very professional and pleasant."

"Comstock Court does the best they can here, but this building is infested with roaches, rats, and everything else and it's just too overwhelming. There's a call bell when you need help. I pulled it one night when I fell on the side of the bed and I was on the floor for 3 hours. Thank God my daughter came over to see me. She was the one who helped me up. There's a backyard where you can barbecue or whatnot and a room that you could entertain in your company if you'd like. There are people that come into the pantry to bring food that is sometimes unworthy of them, but they also bring good stuff from the food bank. I got a one-bedroom and it's OK. I'm on the second floor and I get a nice view of the backyard of my neighbors. They are friendly neighbors."

"Heritage Village at Ocean is very scenic. When you come down the street leading to here, which is called Hidden Meadows Drive, both sides have trees and shrubs, no houses, no buildings. It's really nice and secluded. The apartments are very nice, and it's very quiet. I got a one-bedroom, and it's big. I got my own washer and dryer inside the apartment. I'm on the third floor, and they've got elevators. Everything is closed with this pandemic. They had a clubhouse and things to do, but you can't use them right now. I like it because it's very clean, very quiet, and the rent is in the area I want to spend. I've only seen a couple of people working here. There's no food service."
