"Salishan Gracious Retirement Living was nice. I saw some people in wheelchairs but most of the residents were walking around. It was more like a retirement community, not so much as an assisted living. It was nice, they had a gym, a movie theater, a library, and a heated pool. They also had a beautiful dining area with chef-cooked meals, nice grounds to walk around, and the woods in the back. The staff was nice, he took me around and answered all my questions."

"We toured Vitality Living Spring Hill. The gentleman we talked to was very thorough, but I wasn't as impressed with their rooms and didn't care for them. They were less pretty, but they offered what we needed. All the people we met were wonderful. It had a refrigerator and a stove."

"Coral Oaks is a very good place, and I really did like it a lot. It’s very nice, and everybody is very friendly. I went into several rooms, and they were very well attended to. I was very impressed with the people as well. It's a nice place to go. The staff who gave me the tour answered all of my questions. They invited me to stay for lunch. They have a nice menu, and the food was very good. Everything was just fine. She gave me a calendar of activities, and it stated that they have a social activity plan. I would not hesitate to go in this place because it's very nice. "

"Stratford Court of Palm Harbor was clean. The residents interacted with each other and seemed happy and friendly. The food was good. It would be an excellent place for my mother. The staff was very friendly and answered all our questions. The apartments were pretty small though, but I really liked the facility. It was appealing to me. They have everything taken care of."

"It is a very big community. They have several floors. It is the best one I've visited. It's very clean and very well structured. The staff was very nice and seemed to be concerned about our situation. However, in the end, they couldn't help us because of my brother's criminal record in the past. The dining area was set up like a hotel. The private room was nice and roomy, and it had a bathroom. The residents all seemed happy and engaged in whatever activity they were doing."

"My brothers and I moved our Mom into a local Memory Care that only offers Memory Care, they claimed to specialize in it. She was there for a year before we decided to see what other options were out there after not being terribly impressed and having a few nightmare "close calls". We found The Oaks during our search and after learning what we had in our first experience were extremely skeptical and hesitant throughout the process. Out of the 3-5 communities we looked into The Oaks was the only one to respect our timeline and wishes to explore our options. That made us feel very comfortable as we never felt pressured and they never bad mouthed others to make themselves sound better. We ended up taking them up on an offer to start with Respite care, also their contract is month to month so that gave us comfort as well that we weren't going to be locked in if we weren't happy. The Oaks knows all of this and was very confident in their team. After the Respite period (which was 2 weeks) we met with them again to discuss long-term admission. The team was so knowledgeable and had done so many wonderful things with our Mom in just 2 weeks, much more than the previous community did in a year. We decided to commit. Our Mom went in just before COVID started and we couldn't be happier with how they've handled her care especially during the pandemic. We felt tied to our first community out of fear of upsetting Mom's care routine but The Oaks worked so well with her from the start and we've seen so much improvement with her being around so many other high functioning residents. She frequently attends events within the community that are attended by the other Levels of Care so it feels like so much more than "just Memory Care". On top of that, the price was about 20% less than the first community - go figure! We've been blessed to find The Oaks for our Mom, I would certainly recommend them to anyone who asks. "We toured The Barrington Senior Living. It was beautiful. It was super nice. The accommodations were amazing. It was a little too expensive for him. We really enjoyed ourselves. We had a good time when we were there. My dad liked it. The staff went above and beyond and spent a lot of time with us. It was very clean. The apartments were beautiful. They're way better than where my dad's living now. I wish it would have had maybe an enclosed pool instead of just one outside. That would be great for these older people. The rooms were beautiful and huge. They were really big apartments."

"Banyan Senior Apartments was a fairly new community when we visited it. The staff there was very nice. Regarding amenities, they did have everything there. We're really impressed with the swimming pool area and the patio area around the swimming pool. They also have a gym for their residents. We looked at their one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. The two-bedroom apartment was slightly larger than the one we have. It was also of comfortable size. "

"Journet Place was fairly new two-story building when we went to look at it. It was also a very clean facility. The staff was very nice. Their rooms were of comfortable space. They even have a small theater room inside the facility. Outside, the grounds were very nice. The pool area there was twice the size than the one we have here at another facility. They also have a little pond behind the building with a screened-in porch so residents can sit out and relax overlooking this little pond. It did have a nice effect. They also have large screened-in balconies and screened-in porches for their residents. "

"The Hacienda Village is for people who are 55 and older. You can either buy or rent the trailer or pre-fab home. The one that I am living in is very good. They have all kinds of things going on here like music, fun, and stuff like that. For every holiday or whatever it is, they have parties. Everybody cleans their own place. Management is fine; everything is OK. They do keep up the property and everything. "

"I went to Landings of St. Andrew and I liked the layout. It was so quiet and it's dog friendly. We didn't do any activities, but they have amenities like a laundry room on the same floor and they have a pool and Jacuzzi. They're close to the river and about three miles from the beach. They have a dining area and a community room where they have dinners every now and then, but for the most part, they have all the amenities in their apartments and cook their own food. The rooms were big and spacious. It's a very nice facility. They were in the middle of renovating. They're making the apartments bigger and more handicapped accessible."
