Washington Villas of Hollybrook

I took my mother to Washington Villas of Hollybrook to tour it and she liked it the best. It had the fifties diner and that was one thing different that was added. Plus they had two ponds there so mom could fish or relatives of hers could come there and go fishing. The director and everybody was very friendly. Everybody we walked by, greeted you every time, even if it was just a hello or a compliment or something like that. They just don't walk past you and ignore you. So, it's not like walking down a street.

My mom is a resident at Washington Villas of Hollybrook. I love this facility. A lot of the aides are attentive but what they promised on how she would be assisted has not happened because of lack of staffing. We've discussed it with the administration and right now, things are going well, but we do have to monitor to keep it that way. It's probably the best facility that we could have for her right now, and she's got a lot of friends there. The food is great, too. They have a movie theater and a hair salon, and they do the residents' nails on Mondays. They have housekeeping. The dining room and the 50's dining area are both just great food and they look very accommodating. When you walk in, it's a very pretty setting. The courtyard has very nice flowers and they're able to get out and enjoy the sunshine and the flowers. They have special activities for different holidays where families can come in for cookouts. They have exercise classes, they play bingo on certain nights, they take them to Wal-Mart and ballgames, and they also transport them to their doctor's appointments.

Washington Villas of Hollybrook was very updated, nice, clean, has friendly staff, and is very knowledgeable. The rooms were very spacious and well taken care of; they were private. The dining room had a nice space. How the setup looks were, they had like an area where you can go up and get your food, or they or they would serve you whatever you want or whatever your needs would be. It was kind of almost like a buffet, and then they also have a separate dining area, it's like a 50's style restaurant. It was very, very nice. They showed me the salon, and there's an area like a hot tub and a whirlpool one person at a time, and they have a massage room, then a physical therapy room, and a theater.

My friend's mom lives in Washington Villas of Hollybrook. Their staff seems very nice and very helpful, but I know she complains that they seem to have a fairly high turnover, like they have a lot of different staff. Her mom is not real happy about that, because as soon as she gets into a relationship with some staff members or learns their names, they leave. Then they asked the residents, "Get to know somebody else." Other than that, it seems to be a very nice place, and the staff seems very nice. The buildings are like little apartments. There's a little living room, and a little area for dining with a little dinette table. It's also got a small kitchenette, a refrigerator, sink, microwave, counter tops, a large bathroom, and a large bedroom with a nice big walk-in closet. One day, we went down to have cheeseburgers at their little diner, and it was very good.

Washington Villas of Hollybrook was very nice. The rooms were very large. The staff that we had contact with seemed very nice, very competent, and very pleasant to work with.

Washington Villas of Hollybrook is a very nice and first-class facility. The food was great and the dining area was very cheerful and beautiful inside and out. They had a lot of nice outdoor areas for gardening and raised flower and vegetable beds. They had fireplaces and plenty of seating. The rec room had a pool table.
