I loved my time as a resident there. I always felt safe, loved and cared for. The food is delicious and management seems to really care, as does the staff. They take pride in their facility and it shows.

The faculty is wonderful. The director of nursing is always on call if you need her. She has gone above and beyond for my mother. She is always on top of any medical issues. The staff is caring and takes care of any needs that arise. Any time I am out of town I feel safe knowing mom will be taken care of the same as if I were there.

Taylorville Estates Inc was a nice place. The rooms were nice, and everybody was attuned to what was going on. They had to improve their ventilation system because it's a little stuffy and it didn't seem fresh there. They had a beauty salon and will do your laundry or you can do it yourself. They had a nice dining room and exercise equipment, they can arrange physical therapy if you need it, and they give you your medications. The staff was friendly, and I was very impressed that the manager was an RN who's very in-charge and had everything under control.

My mother is in Taylorville Estates. It is homey and nicely decorated. The thing I don't like about it is there's no nurse there on the weekends. The manager is an LVN, and she leaves between 4:00 and 5:00 every day, so it's primarily the CNAs that are doing the assisted care. It is a warm and friendly place. The dining area is nice, but the food is awful. They have buffet style foods that are in metal containers with lids on them, but I saw someone go to lift the lid, and they burned their hand.
