My mom has been at Jerseyville Manor for 5 days now. They've been great. I've had several people tell me it was a good one and it has turned out to be a good one. The staff was very nice and very thorough. The food is good. My mom likes the food. The dining area is nice. The building is very clean and very orderly. They have a lot of activities, and they do hair, they do laundry, and they do everything that is needed. Everybody seems comfortable there.

I would give this place no stars if I could. Terrible workers and staff. You would think if a resident was paying $4000 a month the staff could at least respond to calls for help and assistance.

My father is currently in Jerseyville Manor. Jerseyville is a very nice town, but I really can't say anything good about the nursing home other than they give the care that is needed, but that's it. Quite frankly, nursing homes aren't good. They're just basically there to keep the person alive. The staff members are kind. They do their basic jobs and what is needed from them as healthcare workers. I cannot say that they're bad. Their food is very good. They're very well-homecooked meals. I have not seen the regular (permanent) nursing home rooms, but his room is very spacious and very clean.

Do not send family members here. My dad was sent for Rehab. Due to Covid we were not able to visit and the communication with this place was horrible. They did not bother to tell us they moved him 3 times, he had skin tears on his behind when he arrived. They have him listed as Full code on his paperwork even though he is not. He is referred to as his roommates name many times on his paperwork (Yeah thats kinda scary). They did call us one day to tell us he was doing really bad but the next day he was fine - guess what his roommate was taken to the hospital the day before (another case of mistaken identity???) The one window visit, that we scheduled, was him sitting across his room while his roommate screamed by the window and a nurse was trying to feed my dad jello. You can't even set up a room to have a short window visit without all the distractions? My dad says they let him fall but that was never reported (maybe in his roommates paperwork?). They broke HIPPA when the retirement village that he lived in independent living called and asked his condition (INDEPENDENT LIVING in a villa that my parent rented- no care was provided by the retirement village). Jerseyville Manor gave them information that we did not sign authorization for them to give. The village then decided he could no longer live there. We received very little communication the month my father was there. Luckily we got him out of there before it was too late. If they are confusing patients, they could easily give him the wrong meds or treatment. Horrible communication and rude staff. Please do not send your family members here, unless you want their privacy invaded, them repeatedly confused with their roommate, including on their medical records and their end of life wishes not followed.

I placed my wife in a skilled nursing facility called Jerseyville Manor. Everything was excellent; it’s very clean, nice and modern. The staff has been very helpful, nice, and friendly. I haven’t eaten there, but they tell me my wife eats well and sleeps well. It’s a double room, but she’s got her own closet and her own bed; there’s privacy, and it was nice. They have dance class, cooking class, trivia, bingo once in a while, and they do a lot of stuff. They have a Medicaid bed.

This was an exceptionally clean and new facility. The staff were nice and knowledgeable, and the house was up kept very well. we got to make our menus and cook anything we wanted. We cooked out own food and kept the place clean along with the staff. We went out on adventures all of the time. We'd go to concerts, fairs, the library, shopping, flea markets, hiking, and to historical locations all of the time. We's also go out to eat at some very upscale restaurants and even went to a theme park. It was an excellent time there with lots to do. There was a learning program there to learn about psychology and business and art. We could smoke almost anytime we wanted to and there were some very friendly people there. We also went to a horse race and some farm auctions. We went to the mall additionally many times. The house itself as I said was modern and quaint and the rooms were of average size. We did all kinds of fun stuff there and I enjoyed it. I would highly recommend this to someone who is looking at group homes or just a form of economical shelter. I read lots of books there and lived a bustling full life. If you have medicaid or medicare then I think your stay there is covered, They also had employment programs there so you could work or find a job in the city. It was a very descent place.
