Symphony Maple Crest

We went to Symphony Maple Crest. The place stunk so bad. They didn't even have any place for the residents to go sit and watch TV. They were all parked in the hallways in wheelchairs. There was no place for them to go outside of their rooms. Every room was a semi-private room. We talked to the director of nurses and he said that none of them had extra training for patients with dementia or memory care issues.

I had a family member here and when my mom and I went to say our finally goodbye we were disrespected by the staff. We were thrown out and called some nasty names by the staff. It’s sad that this is how we had to leave our final interaction with a loved one. But the staff doesn’t care. They are more focused on calling themselves hero’s. A hero would not stop family from saying goodbye. I wonder how they would like it if they were treated that way when trying to say goodbye.

staff is busy , do not stand outside your loved ones window and make any noise or touch the window. Maple Crest has strict rules. The staff is busy and do not want any distraction regardless of family wishes during covid lockdown when visiting is not permitted. Staff cannot read the heart of loved ones, they are doing their job,

Maple Crest was one of the better ones we found. The staff was fine, but I think they’re understaffed sometimes. I think the food needs updating because their menu got kind of stale. The rooms were small, and they had a physical therapy room, another room for activities, an aviary, and an aquarium.
