My mom and I went to Judd C Hickey Day Center and she loved it. They have Bingo, music, arts and crafts, and on certain days, they go out and they do little walking activities. A speaker comes in to talk to them, a church comes in and prepares food for them, and they do all kinds of different things to stimulate their minds. We were invited to one of the meals, but at that time, my mom wasn't in the mood, so I didn't get the chance to see the meals. They have an area where you can exercise, they have a quiet room if they don't feel like being around a lot of people, and they have an activity room where residents can draw and play Bingo. The place is really nice and clean. The staff was just wonderful, so kind and loving, to the point where my mom felt really welcome and I felt welcome, too. I didn't see anything that would deter me from leaving my mother there. It was well put together. They have RNs there and I like that a lot. They have a garden and it was nice and clean.

This facility provides a much needed service for our community. The quality of care my mom gets is exceptional. The price is affordable to all. The staff there that is lead by Ms Nancy is the best. They all are "Alzheimers Angels". Each person is treated with diginity and respect. I myself have observed the interaction and care of all the staff members. This is a place, whenever i get spare time, i would love to volunteer and be a part of. I would and have recommended this place to others. Thanks, AVGJ Augusta Ga.
