Sadly, our family member required 24/7 care due to early onset dementia. The staff at The Manor have been extremely professional and caring with her. I visit her frequently and unannounced due to my schedule. I always find her clean and well taken care of. Her room is always clean as well. The staff is also very good regarding communication. Though our family is saddened by her condition, we are fortunate to have found a caring place for her to live that is close to us.

Even though pretty on outside don't let this facility fool you. ED is not truthful and promises you the world even hugs you saying they will love on your family member. Once check written it all changes. Not good care because not enough staff. ED and nurse always avoids you if you need to discuss any concerns. ED doesn't arrive till after 10 am if she is there at all and nurse always to busy to talk. We moved Mom to another facility that cares and takes an interest in what you have to say. Highly recommend you do not place anyone in this facility

The staff is unqualified to work with dementia patients. The rooms are clean. The food is ok for lunch but a hot dog for supper?? No ameneties just a lot of overmedicated dehydrated people sitting in front of the tv. If they happen to have an activity you will know with lots of pictures posted on social media. The people here don't have a voice because they have dementia nobody believes what they say.

The Manor at Lake Jackson was a very beautiful place but was totally locked down. It's for people who are really mentally incapacitated. They had activities for the residents and were doing bingo in one room. They also had gardening and all sorts of group activities. They're inappropriate for my situation, but it's a wonderful place. They had nice rooms, and it was well designed, clean, and had everything you need. It's terrific.

My mother is in The Manor at Lake Jackson. It is fairly new and clean. The people working there are cordial and helpful. They do activities like bingo and some other things. The rooms are fine and on the small side but big enough.

Upon my visits to this facility, I saw many things. My first experience was positive. This old man was afraid of getting his bath his care giver sat down and actually asked him what she could do to make him more comfortble to get his bath. He then was put in a chair to get his bath instead of walking so his fear of falling in the bath was gone. Then I saw one man who appeared to not have had a bath in days, when I asked him how long it had been he said it had been two days. He also stated that his brief had not been changed in almost 6 hours. To me this facility would be okay but definately not a firt pick.
