"I was in Woodland to visit, but I wasn't overly impressed. It seemed kind of cold to me. It didn't feel too comfortable, and it was like cold. The staff did their job. I hate to say they were impersonal because they were not. But they don't have time for the little things that they could do if they had just one or two more people. Woodland was clean. The rooms were small, and some of them were shared. "

"We used Gainesville Health Care Center for my mother. My mother had been in their hospital, which had their own hospice provider for the hospital system. They were wonderful. I felt like they provided a lot in addition to hospice. They were very prompt in addressing whatever concerns or needs we had. They were very nice and helpful to me because I was kind of alone then; I had come there from California to take care of my mother. They were great. I very much liked them. "

"My visit was OK. The people were receptive. They have a receptionist upfront, and she was very receptive. The person who gave us the tour was very accommodating. She showed us the rooms, and I saw that the rooms were not what I was looking for my mom."

"This is a clean and well run facility. My experience with staff has been great. The rooms are cleaned daily and spacious. All rooms have flat screen televisions, internet availability, and telephones. The nurses are knowledgeable and courteous. There is in house laundry and beauty salon availableto the residents. This is definitely a rehab facility I would recommend to anyone looking! Bonus, it's close to shopping and restaurants! On bus route."

"I liked it. Lauren was very helpful. It was nice and clean. We went over the different types of care, and memory care was probably the best for my wife. They would have taken me gradually to the other sections, but we stayed with the memory care and it looked very good in what they had to offer. The rooms were plenty big and nice. We're going to end up bringing our own furniture only because we have it. The staff all seemed to be very friendly. They have scheduled things that they do throughout the day. I did see several residents out doing various things."

"The best therapy department I’ve seen. My husband is a resident there. Most gave him no chance to return home. My husband is now ready to come home. He has had the benefit of a highly skilled and compassionate staff. I contribute this to an outstanding administration . I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for rehabilitation and skilled care. I have had numerous interactions with staff. They are highly professional, skilled and kind. "

"The staff was very friendly and warm towards us, but they seemed somewhat stressed towards the residents. Almost as if they were just "doing their jobs" and didn't really want to connect with any of the residents. The inside if the facilities were somewhat drab and run down. It could definitely do with some renovations. The other residents were all very nice and seemed like they were having a decent enough stay there. I saw a lot of families visiting their loved ones, which is always a good sign to me. The food from the cafeteria was very decent quality and very palatable, but I suspect that it's not the food they are always served considering the look of surprise on some of the residents faces upon receiving their meals. Overall, my impression was one of both positive and negative views, but my grandmother seems to enjoy her stay their and in the end that is all that matters to me. "

"We visited Park Meadows on 12/31/18 around lunchtime and found the staff competent, on task, and pleasant. The facility was clean and the care more than adequate. I read several critical reviews before we went there to see my father-in -law and I am happy to report they are unfounded. No one wants to be in a nursing home, nor does anyone want their loved ones placed in a nursing home, but I am very thankful facilities exist when all other options have been exhausted. I am thankful for the great people who care for the most infirm among us. God bless you all and keep up the good work!"

"my stepmother was a patient at this facility for over a month. Although the outside of the facility is older, the interior was much better than expected. The areas were kept clean and the lighting was very good in the hallways. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The therapies she received were very good. They also offer other activities for the patients as well. The rooms were adequate with two to a room and one shared bathroom. The lighting in the bathroom was not very good. The patient beds were very old but functional. There are two different areas at this facility and I walked through the other one and I was not impressed. It was a very old style nursing home with small cluttered rooms and old fixtures and furniture. I would avoid that area, if possible. "

"I looked at The Windsor of Gainesville. It was very good. The people there were good. I think my mom-in-law could fit in there very well. They have semi-private rooms. They do have private rooms, but you had to get on a waiting list, so we just prefer the other facility because they're all private rooms. I toured both assisted living and memory care. The semi-private rooms are smaller, but the place was clean and nice. The thing that stuck out about The Windsor of Gainesville, which was good is that memory care is limited to 24 people. When I was in there and it was like 2:00 in the afternoon, they talked about how they try to keep them engaged. I counted 18 people that they had out either engaged with each other or a caregiver engaging with them, so it was good to see that they did what they say they do. They keep them engaged because the majority of people were out, and they were active and doing things, and that's inside memory care. That was very impressive. The facility is a pretty good size. They have other areas with activities. They had a small movie theater where they were giving a presentation. There were a few people in there. They offer a lot. The big thing is with the people who need memory care, they probably don't want to participate in things, but they had them out participating in crafts and discussions and things, so it was good."

"This facility met the needs of my Great Aunt through all of the stages of her cancer. She first started in an apartment style room. As her illness progressed, she was moved to a room with more medical equipment, nurses and around the clock care. I would like to note, there are "houses" outside of the main nursing building for people that can still be on their own with limited assistance from the nursing staff, although my aunt never lived in one. I visited the facility many times over the course of her stay. The rooms were clean and she was allowed to decorate the way that she liked (to an extent) in order for it to feel like a home. The nurses were always pleasant and friendly. The facilities were always clean and smelled fresh. The front desk staff followed the guidelines for signing in and signing out each time I would visit and they were always friendly. My aunt did not have complaints about this facility when we asked her. To the best of my knowledge, my aunt enjoyed her time at Hammock Oaks and I would recommend this facility to anyone requiring their services. "
