I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Tri-County Nursing Home is a rehab and nursing home. I didn't care for it at all. It was terrible. My mom's blood pressure was very low, and they weren't giving her anything to drink. It was on a Sunday, and I couldn't take her out until the following Monday, so I called the nurse and they had given her three BOOSTs. She not only sipped on them, but she drank them right down because she was so thirsty. I called the nurse and I said, "Did you give her a BOOST?" and it was three hours later because it takes a while to digest. She said, "OK." Then I called another three hours later and asked, "Could you give her another BOOST?" She goes, "Well, aren't you the one I just talked to?" I said yes, and she said, "I've already done that," and I said, "I understand that, but she needs to drink, and she's dehydrated and her blood pressure is low. " She just had a really funny attitude about everything. They were under a different management, and now they're not a five-star place. They had a really good manager there, and somehow they just went downhill. Her room had a little comforter that was faded. It just emotionally kind of took me down to the pit. I know it's a silly thing, but it was like saying, "OK, this is the way it's gonna be, and you're just gonna like it." The facility was confusing. I don't think that the patients could get around too good, and the layout didn't really make sense. The staff was insubordinate. Mom was getting therapy, but the whole time she was there she only got seen by one therapist.

I visited this facility

Of all the facilities, I've visited Tri-county Nursing Home would be my number one choice. It's very clean and it was really designed for people to be comfortable and to be able get around comfortably without slipping or banging into walls, it has wide doorways, wide doorways, everything's clean and not cluttered at all, and it smells clean. The staff and everybody there were so nice.
