"My sister-in-law moved to Paradise Senior Living. It's a very caring community. It is very homey, comfortable, and beautifully decorated for the season. It's very clean. Everybody seems to be very content and very happy. They prepare meals to order. You simply tell them what you want, and they will get it for you. I was very pleased. They draw and play games. They try to interact with one another. They provide everything, so that's a big plus."

The food is not good enough or plentiful enough, and there are not enough activities (the patients can get really bored), but I think that is typical of the average nursing home in the US. I like the nurses and the aides. They are doing the best they can. "

"My mother has moved into The Lodge at Historic Lewes. The people are very friendly. They are taking great care of my mother, so we're doing good the first week. The food is excellent. They have different specials every day at lunch and dinner, and then they have a standard menu. So far I've just had two things off the standard menu, and they were just as good as any restaurant in the area. Everybody is extremely friendly and very helpful. I had a lot of questions, and they were very forthcoming. Any little tidbit of information I needed, they had it. The facility is beautiful. It's new, so it's gorgeous. There's nothing derogatory about cleanliness, it's just spotless. We've only been there a week, but we're very happy. They're very attentive. They come and check on Mom every two hours. Every day, they give my mother a little calendar with activities that she can go to, if she wants to. They're having a lot of little Christmas parties. They have movies. They have line dancing. Mom can't walk, but she says she's going to line dancing class, so she goes and watches, and she has made a lot of friends already. Regarding value for money, I know that they're in line with everything I read online, so I would say you get excellent value for your money."

"Overall, I was rather impressed with the facility. The staff seemed to genuinely care about their residents/patients, and the residents seemed relatively happy in their environment. The food that was provided to the residents was pretty decent, and there was a substantial amount of activities taking place in various areas of the facility. "

"Brandywine is very lovely, and the people there were absolutely super. The marketing director, the receptionist, the people in general who worked there were great. Mother didn't get along well with the lady who was in the room with her, so she was only there a week. Mother would have stayed, but the only other room that they had was up on the second floor and she was afraid of elevators, so that didn't work out for her. If you had a TV, you would pay the cable company, the same way with the phones. The lifeline things that people get to wear around their necks in case they fall, you would pay extra for that there. The food was very good there. Mother raves about the food. They had a great chef. The rooms were nice; she shared a bath. They have their own activities. You never had any odor whatsoever. I must say that the hallways were lovely. "

"We have found Manor House for my mom. We've been there three different times in the last two years looking at it. We chose them because we live in the area, and she knows a lot of people there. That's the place she has been the most comfortable with and is considering going into. When we toured it, it was a very nice place, kept well, there's a lot of activities and a good atmosphere. Plus, she will be close to the rest of the family. The only downside I think it's a little bit pricier than others, but they offer a lot, too. Also, it's in the area that she would like to be and we would like her to be. The staff was very personable. I probably dealt with three or four different people over the time that we visited it. They seemed to care about their job. Just walking through the halls and seeing other residents, they're speaking to everybody by name. It feels like a little community when you're in there. Every time anybody leaves, they paint the apartment, they change the carpet, and they give you as a new tenant a chance to make some modifications. You've got to pay for that, but there's an opportunity if you want to customize something or change something. If you don't do anything, they're going to change the carpet, and they're going to change the flooring and paint everything of your choice of colors and stuff. From what I've seen, the units are well-kept because they're constantly being remodeled."

"My mom moved to Brandywine Senior Living at Fenwick Island in February 2012 and we have never regretted this decision. The staff there was welcoming from the very start and that has never changed. My mom has very poor vision and they accomodated her by putting her room close to the elevator so she could find her way back to her room easily. She also has a colostomy which is difficult, if not impossible, to manage by herself due to her poor vision. At first this was a bit of a challenge as the staff was not used to this kind of appliance, but the nurses took charge and taught the other caretakers how to change the bags etc. She truly feels safe there and cared for. The surroundings are beautiful. The entire facility is clean and safe. They promote independence as much as possible and strive to keep the seniors busy and their minds occupied with fun things. To quote my mom "I feel like I'm on vacation every day". Isn't that how we all want our lives to be at this stage? Thanks Brandywine! "

"One of the residents at Chesapeake Manor said my relative will enjoy the place; and it was the best. Another resident said the food was delicious. They had different floor plans. The apartments were clean, had a nice large bathroom, an air-conditioning, and you could put quite a bit of things in. The staff was very nice, very polite, and welcoming. It's a small facility with 16 residents, so it's more of a homey type atmosphere. It's secured, and they had a porch where residents can go outside, and that was secured as well."

"I chose BayCare Assisted Living for my mother, and she moved in last April. I've not been inside. I visited outside. I like that it's close to me, it's affordable with my mother's budget, and it seems very nice. Everybody seems very nice, very good, very experienced, and caring. It's in the country, so it has a lot of nature to it. I would recommend them. When it all happened, it was the beginning of the pandemic, and they were the only facility that really contacted me."

"Mom is moving into The Residence at Eden Green. I would give them five stars all the way across because they have been more than accommodating to my sister and me through all we've gone through. The staff members introduced themselves to us the other day when we were moving my mom's furniture in there, and they were very pleasant and very kind. It is beautiful, very clean, and very safe."
