The Ivy at Watertown

The Ivy at Watertown is new and very modern. They've got friendly people. I met the nurses, the staff, and the chef. They took me for a tour of the rooms. They had a model room set up with furniture in it. Then they brought me up to the studio and it was good-sized. It has a kitchen in it, a microwave, and a bathroom. For memory care, they turn the power off on all those things. If they wanted to cook some cookies or make something for themselves they'd have to call somebody to have it turned on and be watched while they did it. I didn't observe any activities going on at the time, but they have a full schedule. I was really impressed. If Mom makes it there that's where she will be going. The prices were a little bit lower than the other ones. It is a beautiful place. They have courtyards and patios. They can go outside with assistance. They have inside gardens.

The Ivy at Watertown looked new, and it was very clean. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. We've signed in for my mom to go there. They have plenty of activities like physical activities, and arts and crafts. They have a room where they have bars on the wall, and they stretch. They have cooking demonstrations. There was a small library, a salon, a movie theater room, two sunrooms, and another common room. The rooms we looked at were very nice. She's getting a one-bedroom and I think she'll be very happy with it. They're very clean and freshly painted.

We chose The Ivy at Watertown for my mother because it's a brand new place and the level of care that they're offering is much better than the others are for a very similar price. There's a lot more one-on-one interaction, and the quality of the staff is just really good. The management, the part owner, and the manager are awesome. They make you feel as if it's a true home and a place for love, softness, and attention, rather than just a business. Their follow up has been amazing. They've been communicative, and they're caring for her so well. The place is beautiful, and the food is really good.
