Ivy Park at Palos Verdes

I toured Ivy Park at Palos Verdes. I did not try their food, but they do have a chef. I had cookies, which were a gift after we did the tour, and the cookies were delicious. The facility is very nice and very clean. The staff is very engaged with the clients. There are lots of activities within the facility. They also go outside in the community to different events. The dining area is very good and very spacious. I think there are maybe 4 to 6 people at a table. The staff who gave the tour was excellent. He knew a lot about the company. He was able to provide insight into the amenities, the medical care, and all of the services that they have to offer.

I like that the Ivy Park at Palos Verdes was off of traffic. Their outside resting area was overlooking the base of a mountain. There's a lot of greenery. Their memory care specialist seemed to be well versed there processing adults with dementia and Alzheimer's. It was nice. The one-bedroom apartment or the studio apartment was very nice. The people were incredibly pleasant. I looked at the whole facility, and the memory care is on the third floor. That's my first choice.

Ivy Park at Palos Verde was brand new. It's very high end and it's very expensive. They even have a beauty shop there. They have outdoor barbecues for celebration. It's in a very nice area. Aside from that, it looks like a big resort. It's beautiful. It's very Tuscan-looking.

I really like them. I had lunch there. They had a beautiful dining room with a view outside. The food was delicious. Everything was beautiful. They had a lot of beautiful rooms, where they could play cards. There were television rooms with beautiful comfortable furniture. There were game rooms, where they could play and stuff like that. It seemed like they had entertainers that come in sometimes. The dining room was superb. They could go sit outside in an atrium or inside in the dining room. The people were quite able to do things on their own, and they were all dressed. I thought that was nice.

It was clean. The rooms were spacious and it was nice. I visited the memory care unit. We passed by the snack bar, and we were offered a snack, some water, or fruit, but we declined. They have patios.

The staff here was wonderful, friendly, and pleasant. I liked their security. The place was very clean and very beautiful. The people living there were taken care of very well. The staff was very friendly and smiling, even the cleaning ladies. They had dessert and drinks available, plenty of activities, a yard and a small garden, and indoor and outside parking. The room lighting was good and the air was fresh because of the sliding windows. The space was good. The dining room was very classic, clean, beautiful, and had good design.
