My mom is doing fine at the Whispering Pines Inn - Llc. They're very caring, very accommodating to everything my mom and I need if I need to drop something off at the home or I need to update her medications. They keep me informed of whatever she needs, how she's doing, and whether she's having fun or not. She's very social and it's a very social environment. They have a lot of bingo and different exercises they do with them. They like them to come out into the dining room and they coordinate people depending on who can sit with who, and who fits who best, which I appreciate. They're very clean and very hands-on. They give her showers and get her clothes clean. They're a good influence on her, as far as keeping up after herself. I went in there and she's been making her bed, which she's never done before. It's not that they're making her make her bed, but I think she wanted to do what they do. They were doing it, and then she started doing it also, and I think that she's just following suit. It's a very, very nice place. It's on a piece of a very large property with a lot of seating all the way around as far as picnic benches. My brother goes over there and sits with her with something to eat. I love these people. We were moving my mother and they were right there with carts and moving things with us. They're right with you all the time, trying to help you and just make things easier. They're just right there with the family and with my mom in whatever she needs. I just think they're the sweetest people. The owner is Charles and he is so easy to talk to. Whatever your questions are, he can answer them and he has all kinds of information. I didn't know what to ask but he had a lot of things he was helping me with like what's going to happen, what they allow, and what they don't. They're just willing to work with all of us very well. I have two brothers and then her grandchildren, and they're just really accommodating to us. I believe my mother is very happy there or I would be getting some wild phone calls. I'm not and it's been a month so I just think she's happy there. We went to see her one day and she was just laughing and talking with a couple of the ladies there that were just sitting with her. They were watching TV and I'm not sure what other games they played, but I know there is a game room. She has a really beautiful room and they keep it nice. I'm very happy with the way the place looks and the calmness of it. Charles likes to cook so he's going to be cooking Thanksgiving because I really can't take her where I'm going. I'm going out of town so she's going to be there for Thanksgiving and we're going to see her the day before. Charles is cooking turkeys and all that stuff, and they'll do a little party over there. I just think they try to make it as a family as possible. It looks like they have a smaller group, but I don't know how many people they have. I haven't asked either. I'm just looking at the women that come out and watch TV with her and there's about four of them that come out with my mom. They're more ambulatory to get around and I don't hear any complaints from them. I expected something by now, but nothing, so I'm happy about that. It's for assisted living and they have a reasonable price which is why I went with them. The money was one thing, but also their location is really pretty. It's way out in the country and it's very nice. The compound where it is is very nice. I like it. I would recommend them first because they have quite a way about them, I don't know how to explain that. It's very comfortable there.
