"I saw Heritage on the Marina for the fourth time now. It’s a three-tiered community with independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing. I like the cleanliness, the friendliness, the knowledgeability, the quality, and the payment structure of the whole place. They don’t have any rooms to be seen available right now because they are refurbishing. "

"Aldersly Retirement was light and airy. The apartments were garden-style, not in a high-rise building. The garden area was first class. The food was very good. I sat with five other men, who love it there."

"Oakmont was a beautiful place, like a 4-star hotel. It had a very beautiful setting on the water. It was like a new facility. Everything was clean, nicely detailed, sunny, and bright. The common area was beautiful. It’s close to my brother. It felt nice there; the residents seemed happy and the sales person that we talked to was really nice. There weren’t a lot of people out but I think they had a recreational area. They had a hair salon on the premises; they had a shopping center right nearby. They had virtually everything you could conceivably want. It was really fancy and it was very expensive. "

"We looked here. We love this place. We live in San Francisco, so it was perfect. The nice thing about it is the location for us. I can get there like in 20 minutes driving. The location is very good. It is an urban environment, but you don't feel like it when you go in. It's very nice. It doesn't feel small, but it is nice. The staff who welcomed us was fine. He was very straightforward. We went in there interested in the below-market rate program that they have there. They have a medical part too, so that was something attractive for us. They have a little outdoor place where you can go sit. It is surrounded by the buildings so there's no chance you can get out without somebody knowing because it is sort of within."

"Coterie Cathedral Hill Memory Care was the perfect place for my sister. My highest praise goes to the director Christina and to each member of the staff for their skillful and competent care for each resident as an individual. Daily I observed how much they truly cared for not only the residents but also their families. My family and I learned to understand better what was happening with my sister who was diagnosed with dementia and learned how to better respond to her. Monthly support group provided helpful advice and experience sharing. Daily activities were carefully planned to be fun, engaging and appropriate. Meals were delicious and inviting. I will always be grateful to everyone at Coterie Memory Care for making my sister happy and most of all for making her feel at home.."

"I loved everything about The Carlisle. The food was great. The people were wonderful, and the staff was lovely. I loved the condos; you have to buy one there. They were small, but very nice. "

"I liked the Elders Inn but the only problem is that it's a little bit high in price for me. I'd go there twice a week for therapy. It's a nice, quiet place and the people are very nice. They're well kept, well dressed and seems to be upper income. The rooms were nice, the waiting room and the people are very nice. It's a very comfortable place, the area that I saw was immaculately clean. They have a very good facility for rehab, too. I would have no problem if I had to go in there. "

"It was kind of a vintage building. It was more of an old structure. I think it's been there a long time. We like to have more sunlight, but their rooms were a little bit darker. It's not getting enough sun for us, but the price was quite attractive and they provide three meals a day."

"It is modern and new. It's like a very nice motel. They have a lot of amenities. It was comfortable. They have a nice dining room, a social area where they have various activities, and a very nice theater in the lower level with a big screen and comfortable chairs. The place had fire doors that closed automatically when there was a fire alarm. The staff that I met seemed very organized and experienced. I did meet with one of the residents. She showed me her apartment, and she seemed very comfortable there. They have a morning and evening walking group."

"Dimond Care was OK. It looked like an old convalescent home, but I don't have anything bad to say about them. The one-bedroom that was available was clean. The person during the visit was very helpful. The dining area looked clean. The residents were sitting in a little area watching TV. Everybody looked OK."

"I thought that Bellaken Garden was a nice facility when I visited. It's kind of small. The staff and representative were very friendly. There are no private rooms, and it was clean. I like that they had a lot of outside space that you could meet with your family. They have common spaces, but it was kind of closed for COVID. All the meals were in the room. They said that they offer all activities, and they have them available in-house. I saw a therapy room. I saw the shower room, and those were adequate."

"Drake Terrace is not perfect, but it's pretty good. The food is very good, and they have quite a few activities. It's in a really convenient location, and the surroundings are very pretty. There are hills and lots of trees around. The people seemed very nice. It's hard to get used to living in any kind of place like it, but it's mostly positive. They have everything from studios, one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms, and I'm in a one-bedroom unit with a pretty good-sized kitchen. Some units have handicap-accessible showers with grab bars. They have a couple of exercise classes, tai chi, entertainment that comes in, movies, and rides to doctors, shopping, and a scenic drive once a week. I was pleasantly surprised that the food is good, and they have three choices at each meal. It's pretty expensive. It does not have a swimming pool, and I wish they did."

"Sagebrook Senior Living is beautiful. I love it. It's just a bit too steep. They want $6,800 without the care, and that's kind of a bit too much for our income. The community is great. The view was fantastic. The accommodations were great. The staff was very nice and very helpful. The dining area was lovely. It had a piano and everything. It was really nice. I have nothing bad to say about it. We had lunch, and it was good. It looked like their families were there, so they were chatting and associating with their families, and then they went outside. It is old, and they're still doing construction."

"My husband will be moving into the Bluffs at Hamilton Hill. It just seemed the most suitable and the best fit for him. I thought the environment was wonderful. It had everything he could possibly need - exercises, art classes, personal grooming care, laundry, and people coming in to clean his apartment. The apartments were brand new. The food looked excellent. We went to an open house and the hors d'oeuvres that they served were fantastic. The people that were helping me navigate through the process did a wonderful job."
