"We like that it is set up kind of like a resort. It's very open and has friendly people. It doesn't feel like the kind of place that my mom wouldn't like. It looked like the people living there were very active. Even their memory care seemed to have a lot of programs. I think that it's a place that my family will like going to see my mother. The accommodations, the room, and everything looked really good. The staff is professional and friendly too. I tried the food on the day we went to tour it and it was good."

"My visit to Pinole was very good, and I was impressed with the facility. It was newer, nicely appointed, and well decorated. The people were very accommodating, very helpful, and very informative. It had smaller rooms, which I didn’t like so much, but overall it was very comfortable. It was a very pleasant place. They offered us a very low income rate, and that was the important thing. However, it was a little far. "

It was a clean and airy facility with a nice balcony and a beautiful courtyard. Lee took me around and she was very knowledgeable and helpful with all my questions. The rooms were a decent size and they had everything one could want."

"My uncle was a resident of Carlton Senior Living Pleasant Hill. It was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. He enjoyed the meals, but at some point he was not going down to the dining hall, and his transition into assisted living from there was pretty smooth. The care was good. The grounds were neat and well-kept. The assisted living is in a different wing. They have activities and they list that in a monthly newsletter. I would recommend it. We were happy with that option."

"My husband has moved into Rose Cottage. They're very responsive to my needs. They take good care of my husband, and he seems to be doing well there. They keep up with everything. They make sure he has what he needs, medication-wise and food-wise. The least I like is the type of food. One reason why we chose it was the price. The staff was very friendly. They listen to what I say. They communicate with me if he needs something. The rooms are fine and meet our needs. He eats in his room, but they have a table if people want to eat out there in the dining area. He can get up, but they have to use a Hoyer lift, so they have that. They're very nice people. It's not the fanciest place, but it has a homey atmosphere. I'm happy there."

"We went to The Vincent. We just took a quick tour. The building is in beautiful shape, but then it's brand new. They just built it last year. The rooms were pretty. They were a little higher end. They had crown molding. They had central air instead of air conditioners in the wall. They had rounded corners on the sheetrock and arches instead of square. It was a little higher end. I thought it was a little pretentious, though. When you walked into the main room, it was huge. The ceilings were 20 feet high. It was nice for some people, but it didn't feel cozy to me. I thought it felt kind of cold. I didn't like it, and it was way more expensive. The only person that we talked to there was the salesperson, and she was great. She was very informative and really easy to talk to. They showed us their exercise room, and it was this long skinny room that had two older pieces of gear, and that was it, there was nothing to it, and I thought, 'This is terrible.'"

"Drake Terrace was a very nice place. It would probably be our second choice for the waiting list. It is a little farther from the area we wanted to be in, but it is very nice. We like this place. They have a small coffee area/library, an exercise room, and a cafeteria. The dining area looked very nice. The whole place seemed very nice. Everybody was very friendly. It was very welcoming. They had nice apartments too."
