My mom moved into Evergreen Village Prescott. It's not a gated community, but it's a very warm, friendly, clean, and happy place with lots of activities and people who care about each other. We chose this facility for my mom because of the care and concern they gave me. When I walked in, there was music playing. You could hear the chatter of other people enjoying themselves and talking. They have a fitness program. They have a very active activities director. They have outings.

I liked Evergreen Village Prescott. It was very nice, and it had a really great view views from when I got out of my car. As I got into the place it was very clean, and of course there was no activity going around because I just went into the lobby. They showed me one of their units that are on display for people who come in. I explained to the staff member what was going on, and she was very nice, friendly, and easy to talk to. The place was very clean. The grounds and everything were very nice. Parking was a little crowded though. I suppose that's because all their workers have to park in the same area where the guests were.

We toured Evergreen Village Prescott. My wife was comfortable with what she saw there in terms of amenities, the dining area, and the arrangement for relatively independent living there, but with assistance available. We did check the rooms, they were adequate. We particularly liked the lady who gave the tour.

Evergreen Village Prescott was the last one I saw, and it was a very nice facility. A really nice staff member showed me around. It was conveniently located to where I am. I was very impressed with it. They had an activity room and a nice, big dining area. The only thing I could say negative about the place was that the parking was a little limited, but that's not a big deal by any means. The place is well kept. The residents appeared to be well cared for and very happy. I would have no hesitation about taking my mom to a place like that. The staff members are very friendly and helpful.

We did a tour of Evergreen Village Prescott. When we first drove up, I didn't realize it was as big as it was because it's built into a hill. So, when I first arrived, it looked smaller than I had imagined; but when I went inside, it was quite big, and it was very clean and bright light. I loved that, lots of sunlight, natural light. The staff was very friendly. He'd been there for six years. It showed continuity. They have staff that have been there for a long time; that tells me there are not a lot of turnovers. We were there very early in the morning right after their breakfast, so we didn't have a chance to try the food. We were there at a quiet time, so there wasn't much going on. But they had lots of signs about what was planned for the week. Things like bingo, and movies with popcorn. They had computer classes for those learning how to use their cell phone. They had patios, which was nice. All of them had it, so a person could go outside on a little patio and get sunshine, I liked that. They had a lot of windows, and the rooms were bigger than some of the newer buildings, there was more space. They have a little built-in desk work area, so you wouldn't have to have a piece of furniture for writing. It was just nice that they had that little built-in.

I like Evergreen Village Prescott. It's much bigger. They have a nice big dining room. Their staff is nice. There are nice views. They have all kinds of activities and a much bigger room for the residents to be in with a full library. They bring in live music, and they have shows for their patients. They had more activities than the other one. They play cards. Animals are welcome. They have trails like little walkways, but I didn't notice any gardening. They have a balcony. On the lower levels, they have a little backyard, and I like that. You could put chairs out there. The staff were very knowledgeable. They took their time to show me everything and discuss all the options for my mother. The rooms were beautiful. There were full-size kitchens, which I appreciated for the larger one-bedroom. It felt homier.

I visited Evergreen Village Prescott. It's really funny because when I went there to visit, they bring you into this newly remodeled facility or a room and it's beautiful. But they haven't remodeled the entire place, so when they show you the actual room you're getting it's nice but not as nice as what they showed me. It was still really a good size room with nice views of the Prescott. It's clean, it is probably not as nice as the other one I toured as far as the decor and the upkeep. The person who assisted me during the visit was nice, he was very good, he was very helpful and he seemed very cheerful He greeted all the residents when he saw them and they all knew him, and he's very helpful with them. They showed me the dining area, which was nice and clean.

When I toured Evergreen Village Prescott, the gentleman I talked to was named Will. It was a 2-bedroom with a lot of room in it; I toured the whole place. It was really nice and easy to get in and out of. The staff was a great guy. He was there by himself with one other person, so there wasn't anybody else there. It's really cool and a nice place. They had everything there: gyms, places to eat, and they even do the house cleaning. It's very, very clean. If you've ever been to downtown Prescott, it's really cool and only about three minutes away. The rooms are plenty big and pretty nice. It's 801 square feet and has two bedrooms. It's empty.

My Mother has been a resident at Avista in Prescott for 3 1/2 years. She was a little resistant at first, but soon adjusted to her new home. She became part of their family, because they treat you like family. She made many friends and enjoyed many activities like craft days, Bingo, card games and puzzles. The rooms are nice with large picture windows where she could sit and paint scenic pictures of Granite Mountain and Thumb Butte. The outside patios and swings are a nice place to have relaxing visits with your loved one. The facility is fresh and clean, with a nice dining area and nutritional meals. All of the employees are cheerful and have provided compassionate care. They are always there to answer any questions and provide excellent care to the residents. I would highly recommend Avista for your loved one.

Avista Senior Living Prescott looked nice. The only problem that we first saw was that the apartment they had available at the time for my friend was at the very end of a hall. It was a very long distance for him to walk; otherwise, it was a very nice community. It seemed very pleasant. They allowed us to make frequent stops, when we needed to, as we toured the apartment. They showed us the designated smoking area and the great room. The apartments were nice and roomy. The bathrooms looked pretty accessible. The only concern I had with those apartments were the bathroom door and the closet door kind of got in the way of each other, but I think we would have been able to manage that. It's a really nice facility. It had a lot to offer. It had a game room, computers, an exercise room, activities, and transportation to doctor's appointment. The staff was also very pleasant and very friendly.

Avista was a much larger facility, and it seemed like they had more activities. The residents were out and about more. They were socializing a lot more, which is what I liked. It was livelier. The biggest drawback to that was the view from there. Most of the rooms all had little patios or porches; the views of the mountains were beautiful. What wouldn't have worked for my nephew was the shower. The showers were very small, and you had to step up. There was like a deep edge on it and I don't think a shower chair would even fit in there; all the rooms were like that. It was lively. The food looked great. We weren't invited to a meal, but they have an actual chef that they talked about. When we got there they were fixing dinner, and it smelled great. The people were already in the sitting room and having coffee before their dinner and conversing. It seems like they promoted socialization more. The staff was very interested and gave us a lot of details. When he was taking us around, you could tell that he really knew the residents. He was some kind of assistant director. Even when we were walking down the hall to stop and talk to people and ask them about personal things (not just how you doing), he had questions for them related right to them. I like that too.

I don't like Avista Senior Living Prescott at all. I think it's poorly run and the food is terrible. I just don't care for this place. This is going downhill ever since Avista took it over. It's only assisted living and most of the people here either have physical problems or mental problems. I don't want to stagnate here. I want to keep my level of mental things, as well as physical things. The maintenance people are OK, they're very prompt in anything you need, but the food is terrible. Not only that, I just want to leave assisted living and move to independent. It's poorly administered. I've only been here six to seven months, and I'm disappointed in it. I'm not happy here. Some of the underlings are fine, but the one at the top just passes everything off and ignores problems, and then it's too late. We're under lockdown right now because they have some kind of food inflammation with people. They won't tell you how many, but that's enough to have a lockdown. Our meals are served in our rooms now. We cannot go to the dining room, but I know that's for the best. I think it's poorly supervised. The one at the top ignored a lot of problems and I've tried to bring them to her attention a couple of times and it's just water over the dam. It just rolls off. She doesn't do anything about it, and it's terrible food. The staff is OK. They try and they do a good job of cleaning and washing and whatever. Everything seems fine, but the food itself is terrible.

Avista Senior Living Prescott is not an independent place. I thought it was because the guy told me that they have independent apartments, but when I moved in here, it's an assisted living. I've been here for about four months now. I had to get them straightened out because they kept coming in my apartment. The first day I was here, a lady came in here about 7:00 that evening. That lady used to live here in my apartment, and she didn't realize that she doesn't live here anymore. The next day about 5:00 in the afternoon, there's a nurse who knocked at the door. Then she immediately opened the door and came in. I told her I don't like that. I posted a note on the door that said do not come into my apartment unless I open the door for you. Since then, I haven't had any problems with it. When I first moved in here, the food was really good, but then a new company took over; the food is just going down the toilet since then. I would not recommend this place for anybody. I did at first because I really, really liked it. The food was good. It was really fantastic, but now it's gone really bad. I pay $3,000 a month, and I don't even have a kitchen. I got a tiny refrigerator freezer, and they have to take it out of here in order to defrost it. It's too expensive for me. The people that work here are very, very nice. It's just that the food is getting so bad. I'd want people to know what the food is like before anybody moves in here because once you're in here, it's really hard to relocate again. The food was really good because it was still from the other company. Then Avista took over. A lot of the other parts are good stuff, but the food is terrible. The staff is really good, and it's absolutely beautiful here. They have very few activities. With this virus stuff, they shut everything down. When I first moved here, we even had to eat in our apartments. We couldn't even eat in the dining room. They finally opened that up, and now we don't have to wear masks anymore. The building itself is absolutely beautiful. The activities are not very good, and it's very expensive here. I got the cheapest apartment there is; it's $3,000 a month and I don't even have a kitchen. It's a little tiny space when you walk in the front door. You've got a tiny microwave, and then that little refrigerator sits on the floor. It isn't even 3-foot high. There's a tiny sink next to that. If you want to pay more money, you get a little stove with an oven and the refrigerator/freezer isn't even that big. It's a whole lot more money for one of those. There isn't even any room for a table in the so-called kitchen. You have to put it in your living room. Because of the food and stuff, I don't give them a very good rating. For $3,000 a month, you don't even have a kitchen there. All I got is a living room, a bedroom, and a bathroom; that's it.

My mother is happy here. The nurse is very prompt with getting back to me, and she's on top of everything. My mom talks about the person that comes to the room and helps her out with showers, and she really likes that person. I guess everything's OK. My mom used to volunteer at the community and that's one of the reasons she wanted to go there, because she was already familiar with the facility. She's very pleased with the walking trails, and they're beginning to let them start to mingle. Today she went for a walk and went to an exercise class. She has a beautiful view from her patio and window, and she has seen many animals come by, like baby deer, skunk, and other animals that enter the community. She really likes seeing them. It's very clean. The outside of the facility is very clean and well kept, and the hallways are very clean. Everything looked like it was in its place when we were there. We didn't get to go to the full areas, just to my mother's room. She's very happy with the staff. We brought stuff for her and they made sure that got to her room, so they're very helpful.

My husband had a very nice room. The staff members were very helpful. The meals were good, and they had a nice dining room. He could sit down with anybody. He liked it better than the place he came from before. He only had assistance with his medications. What I didn't like was they found him on the floor one morning and they called the ambulance but they didn't let me know for two hours. By that time, the ambulance had already taken him to the hospital. They couldn't tell me what hospital he went to, so I had to call around to find out where they took him. I didn't like that at all, but they said that's their procedure. The facility was good. I was quite satisfied with it up until that point. They had several activities, but what interested him was that the military retirees would get together and talk on Monday mornings. It's a very nice place, clean, bright, and the rooms were spacious. The food was excellent, and they could order whatever they wanted. It's far less expensive, and the quality and service was better than where he was initially.

It was nice, and everything is there that you need, but it was more than I could afford, so I wouldn't be able to stay there. The rooms would have been perfect. They weren't big, but they were enough. They would also allow me to have my two cats with me. I saw a couple of people sitting there, and the dining area looked good. It was large, they have special of the day, and if you don't their special, you can order something else.

It is very nice and very clean. We like the area. It is in a very nice area and it is centrally located for shopping. Everybody was very friendly and very nice. Everybody on the staff was very pleasant and very friendly. The residents were doing some activities; it seemed like they had a lot of activities going on. From what I saw, the services were great. The area where you eat was very clean and very attractive. What impressed me was that they treat you just like you're in a restaurant. They give you a menu, you select food off it, and they serve you. It is nice. The food was excellent.

It was a great facility with its brightness, friendliness, and cleanliness. The staff was awesome and great. The person who toured me was very knowledgeable and helpful. The menu and dining facilities were great. They had physical therapy and a physical therapist on-site. Some people were in the common areas playing games and social activities. They also had a posted schedule of all the activities.

This was the only one that we looked at. It was really nice and clean; it was a good place. It just didn’t work out for my grandmother because for the cost to be in her price range, she would have to share a room with somebody, which she isn't really willing to do. Otherwise, it was really nice.. The staff people were very informative and friendly; they gave us a tour, and it was good.

I sent a deposit to put my mother-in-law on the waiting list.. We don’t know when we’re moving, but we’re planning on it when they do get a chance to move. I just loved their service. I loved the guy that I spoke with who was amazing, courteous, and helpful. Hilary was amazing. The facility is exactly what we need, so it would be a smooth transition for my mother-in-law from where she is now to go there. It’s very similar in many ways, but its amenities are even nicer and much more affordable for her than where she is now. It’s a big plus that it’s such a nice facility, and Hilary did a great job. Their rooms were wonderful and even had fireplaces, I think, and their companion suites were very well appointed and spacious. The social side of it was very appealing as well.

My sister went here for a couple of weeks. It fitted her needs, and the price was right. It was very close to our home. Our home was actually down the block. I would go visit her and take her out so she could pick up some stuff and different things. It was in a good location for her. She had a small studio. The facility was safe for her. She had assistance when she needed it.

I like the scenery and the fact that it’s big, spacious, and very clean. There are a lot of windows where you could see the natural surroundings. From the outside location, it’s easy to find, but it’s really interesting that it was set up against a hill. The only thing I would say that there is very limited parking space. My sister was confined to a wheelchair. We had to park at a distance then get her to the door, but other than that, it was very picturesque. The room that we saw was very spacious. We met the personnel, the administrators, and some caregivers. We met a lady there, and she was very helpful; she was answering all the questions that we asked. The caregivers were very friendly and very helpful. They were offering the regular activities, board games, and bingo. They had guest speakers, music, yoga, and different chair exercises, and they take them out into the community like to the mall.

We like it, but we are not ready to make a move. We are perfectly able right now to take care of ourselves, but we wanted to find out what's available for us. What I find most appealing about this facility is that they do the things that you are having trouble doing. The facility also seemed to be very adequate. They really had good food. We had a very nice tour. We felt we knew pretty much what was there and what the costs were.

It was airy, open, and definitely did not feel like an old person's hospital. My friend wanted to live there compared to the other places he visited, because the price was more reasonable for him, yet it still offered the care that he would need. He wanted a little bit of independent living. The staff worked very well, especially since it's assisted care. They were not over the top on the residents; they gave them their space, but they were there when the residents needed them. He was in a shared apartment with two bedrooms, one bathroom, living room, small kitchen, and a patio. The dining room was nice and spacious. I could say it was friendly for the older people because they served them, but they could also go through the breakfast line and salad bar area. It was very nice. There were various activities, like they took the residents to grocery stores, banks, casinos, or trail drives to see the community. There was also bingo, movie night, and other activities inside the care facility. Overall, I was impressed with the price, and I would recommend this place to other people.

We picked it because there were several of the veterans at that location and they also had 10 or 12 people with the same vision impairment my father has. I was able to find a veteran to share a room with, and they also had a share program and we were able to pick two of the veterans together. The rooms were very nice and very accommodating. They have 2-bedrooms and 1-bedrooms. I chose the 2-bedroom because I thought with the blindness, it would be better for him actually to have someone else to assist him and they're very helpful as far as services, taking him to and from a meal. The staff is very, very pleasant. They treat everybody like family. Most everyone there really does care. They follow up on complaints and they seem to be very actively following through. He loves the food. He likes everything there. He's been on a low-sodium diet for a lot of years. I use salt, and I thought it was fine. Everything was very tasteful. They have a lot of activities, but he doesn't participate in them because of his blindness and deafness. They have a walking program where they will take them out walking. They have exercise classes. They have all the other events, but he can't really track most. They did a nice job with almost everything they had. I highly recommend them.

My parents are in here. It's a beautiful facility and I like it. It's really clean. It's basically a retirement home/assisted living. They have 24-hour nurse on-call. They have beautiful apartments. They provide my parents meals three times a day. My mom is not really thrilled about the food, although my dad doesn't seem to mind it. They also have transportation for them if they want to go down to one of the stores there. It's just a great place! My parents have only been there for a couple of months, but at this point, I'm happy with it. What I like best about this facility is the fact that my parents are safe there. They all have life alert buttons that if anything happens, somebody would be there within minutes. It's just the safety factor and knowing somebody is there for them 24 hours a day, I like that about the place.
