"My mom has moved into Wills Creek Village. It's a smaller facility. So, it's a little bit more intimate and a little more personal, and it's convenient for me because it's close to where I live. And it's also close to the features and amenities of the town. There are some nice restaurants close by. Public transportation goes by there, which she doesn't need because she still owns a vehicle. So, she's able to take advantage of the assisted park. She can still live and have assistance. The staff, it's more than just a job to them. It's sort of like a calling. They care about people. They've got manicured grounds. A company comes in and takes care of it and everything. I get a schedule of activities as well as my mom. They have daily activities, and most of the time they have multiple in a day."

"Serenity Place Assisted Living and Memory Care was very clean and everybody was very nice there. My in-laws would have had a lot more room there because they could have gotten two adjoining rooms. However, once they moved out of the house, Dad was afraid Mom was going to get worse because she's got mild dementia. He's also afraid that they were going to want to move her to memory care, and if they move her to memory care, that means she'd be in one building, and he'd be in another building, he is afraid that she would just go straight downhill. They showed me the beauty shop and the dining area. They had an activities area and stuff like that too. It was nice; they just remodeled it. Everything was brand new in there. It looked like a nice place. That would have been my choice for my in-laws where they would have had more room, but Dad is afraid that they're going to try to put Mom in memory care, and then they would be in separate places by themselves. The staff members were nice though. "

"Although the rooms at Collinsville are not modern, the staff and how well they take care of the residents is more important to me. Any time I have visited my dad who is currently in the rehab section, the staff is always so nice and helpful. They seem to all really care about him and how he is doing. I am not as familiar with their activities as he has only been there for short amounts of time. But I've noticed a calendar displaying their activity schedule in his room and it looks like they have a lot to offer. Since he is in the rehab section, I am familiar with his going to physical therapy. The therapists who work with them are really great. I would highly recommend this facility. "

"My mother-in-law moved into Crossville Health and Rehabilitation. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating. They have some benches that are outside in a concrete area. They do bingo and they have singing groups come. Her room is very small. It has a bathroom and a vanity with a sink and mirror. She shares a room. But she has a little closet and her recliner, which we provided."

"My sister moved to Cherokee Village Assisted Living Center. We chose this place because for us the location is the main thing and the price. Her living space, it's a one-room suite is what they call it. I haven't tried the food but she is somewhat happy with it. There are activities that keep her pretty busy. They have bingo and they do arts and crafts. They've got a screened-in porch or they can go outside. They got a little courtyard to walk around. They provide the meals, and the care, they check on every hour. They take care of her medications and have a nurse there 24 hours."
