The food is pretty good too. Except for the l private rooms, the rooms are small. The staff is always there to help, although I think they need a little extra help. They work very hard. They have many activities to keep the patients engaged and social. "

"Happy Days is located in the downtown area where everything is only like three blocks from city hall and Lincoln Park is right across. The citizens have a chance to get out and get some air in the park where the security can see them. If there are some functions going on in the summer time, they'll be able to enjoy in the park. If they don't have anyone to come and take them out, it's right across the street. There are ramps for patients who are not able to walk to the first stop light from the building. It's very convenient if you have a problem with getting around. The only thing is that Broad Street is a wide business street. It's a very nice building and it's high rise, maybe about 10 stories. They have nice facilities for the patients. They have a day care room. The living quarters and the hallway are very clean. It has good security in and out. The staff is very professional. They have activities for the residents and they also have a nurse on premises. If you have a medical problem, you're going to have to ring the bell and someone will be there waiting for you. Everything you need is right there. It's not a facility where they serve you. A lot of residents are able to cook their own food. My friend who lived there cooked. "

"Transportation is really bad, the males do their jobs, but not the females, they don't like to get off the bus and constantly using their Mobil/ phones. No point complaining as they will say to you "we never had a complaint about such person" of course most of the clients are either too sick or too old, how can you expect them to complain, those that still one whole piece will never be treated that way. Also I called twice/ in different occasions of course, to the person who enrolled my mom/as it was kind of late, when we went there and she did not return my phone call not even a day after I called her. my mom left there last week and still my phone call was never returned. "

"My mom goes to St. Peter’s Adult Day Care during the day. They have 2 programs. She goes from 10 to 4 o’ clock. The bus picks her up at 10, she comes home at 4, and they have a program there. If she calls in sick, you don’t pay. She goes 4 days a week, and there’s no bus service on Wednesday; otherwise, she’d go 5 days a week. They also have rehab. John F. Kennedy Hospital has rehab 2 doors down, so she is going to get exercise for her during the day. They get the hot meal from the hospital. They want minimum 2 days a week but you don’t pay when she doesn’t go, when she calls in sick, or has to go to the doctor. She plays Bingo and cards, they do puzzles, they have a clown, they do morning exercise, they do karaoke and sing along, they can crochet and knit, and they do some arts and crafts. They also have the nurse’s station which takes blood pressure every day. What I like is that definitely everybody has to do morning exercise and singing, so they have a program. "

"I love this place! Everyone looks happy here. The best service, great activities and nice food. Polite attitude from staff and very friendly atmosphere. What else do you need? I forgot to mention nice transportation from home and back to home. Also they provide buses for shopping and in summer time to NJ shore. You come here and spend several hours, as in your best dream, with friends and relatives. I am very glad to be here and very grateful for everything!"

"I like Belleville Senior Health Services. They feed us, we do exercises, and we go shopping if we need to. The staff is very nice and everyone is welcome. They've got doctors on staff. I go there in the morning every day. If I had family and friends out here, I would recommend them. The people are very fine."

"It was a few years ago when my grandmother needed some treatment that could not be done at home and we found Sephardic Nursing home. Since it was close to home and looked nice, my grandmother agreed to try it out. She loved it. Upon entering the home, it had a hotel feel rather then a facility feeling to it. It was nice. Although the rooms were not that extravagant, they were still clean and gave my grandmother everything she need for her stay. After she was settled, we got to meet the staff. They were so nice to talk to and so understanding that we knew my grandmother was in safe hands. We left her and came back every day to check on her. She was so happy. The nurses were nice and they even had an activity almost every day from Jewelry making to Bingo they had it all. For the few weeks she was there, she was treated like a queen. It was so nice to see her smiling. "
