Housecall Providers is a wonderful service. They accept my 95 year old mother’s Medicare and supplemental insurance and provide service at mom’s assisted living facility. Joanne is mom’s primary care provider is she is as good as it gets-we all adore Joanne who is compassionate, kind, knowledgeable and timely in responses via telephone or online portal.

Three residents of my adult care home are patients of Housecall Providers. Over the last 2 years, we have had excellent response time to concerns both during and after office hours. Our provider, Alex, really listens to the resident and their family about their goals to create the treatment plan. The fact that residents with dementia or transportation challenges do not need to leave the home allows the provider to see them as they truly are in their environment. Communication is clear and concise and received in writing the same day.

Housecall Providers was recommended to me by the administrator of my mother's in-home care facility. They are a Portland, Oregon based provider of in-home care, and many of the past and present residents of this facility have used Housecall Providers. It is such a blessing to know that I don't have to arrange a wheelchair van to take my mother to the doctor when she needs medical attention -- that the provider will come to her! My mother is usually seen by Amanda S., who is a nurse practitioner. Amanda has been very attentive to my mother's changing medical needs, and is always available when I have a concern. She was especially helpful when my mother recently developed a dangerous infection in one of her artificial knee joints, and supported me through the process of getting my mother admitted to the hospital for surgery and helped to provide followup care afterwards. Amanda works with Dr. Husted, the founder and medical director. Amanda is very conscientious about my mother's medications, wanting to make sure that she is taking everything she needs but not taking more than she needs. She is also very responsive when the pharmacy needs her approval for a medication refill, and has been good about working with my mother's mail-in pharmacy (which can be a pain). She also helped us with the process of filling out a POLST (Physician's Orders for Life Saving Treatment) so that my mother's wishes will be honored if she becomes critically ill. I have had good experiences with the Housecall Providers office staff -- when my mom or I need help, they make sure we get it.
