They are able to provide care for my mother who has dementia. They give me peace of mind. They are very thorough and have great staff.

Right at Home provided my mom with in home care after she returned home from rehab after she was recovering from broken hip surgery. The care givers schedule matched the times that my mother wanted assistance- two hours in the morning and two hours late afternoon for several weeks six days a week. As she progressed in her recovery, she was able to have morning care givers only. Right at Home is flexible in the hours that you have their care givers and the office works diligently to meet the needs of the client. You are not required to have a minimum of hours daily nor a schedule that does not suit your needs as some services require. I would recommend Right at Home, and would not hesitate to call if services were needed in the future.

It made me have to come and take care of mom. It has been a lot of trouble to get an aide.

Right at Home is a subcontractor to your hospice company and we are hopeful that you will not have to leave where you are to take care of your mom now that we are involved. Of course, there are call outs sometimes but we do our best to cover any and all shifts as we know that our clients and their families depend on us.

I am the daughter of a client. The caregiver for my mother is super terrific. She really listens to mom's wants and needs. The house is always tidy and the food in the fridge is fresh. She makes sure the laundry is done each week. I know my mother is safe, well cared for and has some social interaction while I am at work.

They overcharge and don’t return calls or emails. I would think long and hard before using them. Don’t give them your credit cards.

Without specific information, it is difficult to respond directly to your review but we would have and will continue to address any issues that we are made aware of with regard to the care we provide to the client. We have been in business for 20+ years and provided care for thousands of clients. We always strive to treat our clients the way we would treat our own family members. If there was a delay in responding to any of your calls, we apologize. Our protocol is to answer any voice mail message left for us within 10 minutes but certainly no later than one hour. Our pricing is comparable to pricing charged by other home care companies in New Jersey. Again, without knowing what the issue is, we are concerned about your reference to credit cards. We take great care in securing credit card information which is used only with the authorization of the client or their family member and only for billing purposes. We have received many 5-star reviews from both past and current clients and family members and our goal in every instance is to provide the best possible care, to engage in open and frequent communication between us and the client, and to respond promptly to any concerns or questions. We are available 24/7 to address anything that may come up because we truly want our clients and their family members to be satisfied with the care we provide. Their caregivers need to be more skilled. They need to be more dependable.

We are very disappointed to see a 1 star review considering this client has been with us since August 2019 and has had the same caregiver since last year. Certainly we would have and will continue to address any issues that we are made aware of but in this instance there have been no complaints and this client remains in our care with a very dedicated, loyal, kind and skilled caregiver. The people were nice. But they were not skilled or aggressive. The services were inadequate. They provided terrible therapy. It was only 20 minutes at a time and it was not very aggressive.

We are sorry that you were disappointed in our services but are happy that you recovered and were able to end care with us and return to your home state. While Right at Home of Central New Jersey does not provide therapy services to our clients, our home health aides can only encourage our clients to perform their therapy exercises as home health aides are unable to perform therapy including such things as range of motion, etc. We would note that we provided care to both you and your family member at the same time and that your family member is re-starting care with us and has asked us to send the same caregivers that they had before. We always strive our best to care for our clients the way we would want others to care for our own families and we are disappointed we did not meet your expectations. They could've listened to the nurse who gave feedback. I told them there was a problem and there should have been a follow-up. I needed to be able to go into work and couldn't. The lady they sent had lack of medical knowledge.

the most disappointing thing is that they did not take responsibility to apprise themselves of the situation and orient the caregiver to the case. The first caregiver was a wonderful person, but she did not get any orientation from the company, no one explained to us how the services worked either.

We are sorry that you feel that our communication in explaining our services to you was lacking. Our Business Development VP did meet with your family several times before care started to explain how in-home care works and to answer any questions that you had. Based on information from your family and an assessment by our nurse, we were able to create a unique tailored care plan that was provided to the caregiver before the case started so that she was oriented to the needs of your mother. Unfortunately when there are multiple family members involved in coordinating questions or concerns with the office, important information may not get communicated to all family members, which is why we always recommend that a family designate just one person to be the primary contact. We genuinely care about our clients and their families and it was our privilege to be able to care for your mother.

I texted to the aide about Instacare bringing food for my aunt. And it was left on the porch and the food was spoiled. The aide is not trained for dementia patients, and she is always on the phone.

We can assure you that your caregiver is certainly trained on dementia care. She has been with us since 2018 and has worked with a number of clients with severe dementia. We have been caring for your family member since April and have never received any calls to the office to mention any issues or concerns but we are always willing to provide further training to any of our caregivers. In addition, our nurses provide in-service lessons and further education on not only dementia but many related topics to all of our caregivers on an ongoing basis. Our live-in caregivers are permitted a certain amount of free/personal time every day. If our caregiver is on her cell phone during her personal time, she is permitted to do so. We are sorry that there was a problem with the delivery of food by Instacart to the home. We would remind you that our contract says that clients (or family members) should not be asking a caregiver for their phone number. The reason that this is done is that all communication should be done directly through our office. If that had happened and we had been advised of the upcoming Instacart order, we would have contacted our caregiver directly to alert her to be on the lookout for the delivery. In addition, we have a number of clients who use Instacart and we also let them know that they are welcome to use Beth Sholom's cell phone number as a contact so that we will receive texts and alerts about delivery times from Instacart directly. For your information, we have wonderful client experience coordinators in our office who are skilled and trained to manage any type of issue or concern that a client or family member has. We hope you will call the office directly in the future if you have any questions. We continue to be privileged to care for your family member.

Before I chose Right At Home to provide a home health aide, I researched several companies. I was impressed by the high reviews they received and decided to contract with them. I am so grateful that I did! The home health aide is absolutely wonderful! Not only is she a pro at her job, she approaches her job with compassion, care, and love. The staff at Right at Home are very responsive as well. We feel so grateful for the support they are providing our family.

I contracted with RAH for nurses aid care for my sister who was in a poorly staffed assisted living. Her aid Lynette, was caring and compassionate. I would highly recommend her. The staff in the office (all of them) had a great understanding of customer service and were always prompt with addressing any concerns or questions, and met our needs every time.

I desperately needed an aide to live 24/7 with my father when he came home from rehab. This is not an easy process but I was fortunate to find Right at Home and they immediately made things much easier for me. They found an aide within days and he arrived exactly as scheduled. He takes wonderful care of my father cooking his meals, helping him with his daily activities of life, and thinking of my dads needs before he has to ask. Right at home is professional, caring and always responsive to my calls and emails. I would highly recommend them.

I have no idea, I tried to figure it out. One of the aids was foreign and I had a hard time understanding her accent sometimes. She would cook a meal for me, that was a good part about the service. They would also have different people every time. There should be continuity. It's hard to say, it depends on the needs of the person. Turns out my needs weren't enough to make use of the services.

My father currently has a live in caregiver. When he was discharged from rehab his condition was bad mentally and physically. As the weeks progressed and the aide worked along with my dad and the in home therapists - there has been an amazing improvement. His aide makes sure my dad is clean, the home is neat and his aide lets me know if there is anything that they need in the home. It is wonderful to have a someone my father can talk to and keep him safe in his home. All this makes my life easier as I can concentrate on other aspects of my dad's care with confidence and without being overwhelmed. There was no consistency. The people were not staying. Sometimes they did not show. There was a lack of communication from the agency and to me. They could have had better communication between the agency and the person they were hiring.

We work very hard with all of our clients to ensure that there is constant communication between the client and us, as well as between us and our caregivers. We hope you can appreciate that as we all were still dealing with the effects of the pandemic, it presented many challenges to us. We strive to have consistency in the caregivers who work with our clients but there are times when that is not always possible. A review of our scheduling records show that our caregivers were with you on the days you requested care and that you cancelled several shifts saying you didn't need care that day. We hope that if you do need care again in the future we can help you and set up a consistent schedule with the same caregiver so that you'll feel comfortable with the care you are getting from us.

Our current caregiver listens, is willing to change her hours if I need her to stay longer, and there's a real good communication between us and we like each other. My mother likes her. We had a very rocky start. We had three or four caregivers before we had this one that we like. They need to make sure that the caregiver is able to do the task at hand. One caregiver had just come back from an injury and couldn't do what was needed. They have a hard time finding someone to come so far out to where I live. They need to make sure the person is really willing to stay and do the job.

They watched my husband and were with him if I was out running errands. They try to help me, but I already had everything done, like having his food made. They were here on time and took care of my husband. In the four hours they were here, he never complained. If anybody ever asked me, I would recommend them.

I don't know if they could do anything. Sometimes there is not a good match between the caregiver and my mother. Sometimes it works really well, and sometimes not. They have been very responsive and there have been a couple times where there have been issues and they have contacted us and been helpful in that way.

All staff was attentive, professional and kind. The treatment and care was excellent. Of particular note was Russ, my father's live-in home health aide. He was so wonderful to my father. I could not have gotten through it without his kindness. Right at Home also cared for my mother in 2015. They are a blessing during a hard time.

Right at Home provides in-home caregiving services for thousands of families across the nation. We offer companionship and help with everyday tasks that have become challenging for an aging person. This may include things like meal preparation, laundry, housekeeping, hygiene and grooming. We also offer services for those with special care situations caused by numerous medical conditions such as Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. Custom Care Plan

From the moment you call, we begin considering the specific needs of your loved one. We ask questions during the initial call or meeting to form a basic needs assessment. After discussing your particular situation, we will prepare an initial Custom Care Plan and then work with you to fine tune that Care Plan based on your loved one's specific needs. Once the plan is agreed upon, your local Right at Home team matches the right caregiver to implement the plan.

Caregiver Training and Care Supervision

Every Right at Home caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. Once hired, caregivers are trained through Right at Home University to ensure that they're able to deliver the care set out in your loved one's Custom Care Plan. Before providing care, they're bonded and insured.
