The caregivers are very kind and helpful. I found they need instruction instead of a get up and go process. I'm sure a lot of people prefer this. I was fresh out of 8 days in ICU and needed assistance with dressing, night time routines, etc. After 3 or 4 days I started to regain my strength and am far more independent. The flexibility was good and while I thought I'd need them longer, 3 weeks was sufficient.

They have been amazing, Rahshine, Jacob, Kemita and Star have been wonderful. Rahshine has taken such good care of my father in law that the hospice person said he was one of the 3 most well-taken care-of pateints he has.

We hired Cornerstone Caregiving of Royal Oak to provide 24 hour care to my father, who has advanced dementia, and is a known fall risk. In the time that they were hired to care for him, my father fell multiple times (that we are aware of) because: (i) the caregiver on duty left him unattended -- on this occasion, my father fell and fractured 7 ribs. (ii) the caregiver was sleeping - my father got up, fell, and the caregiver woke up and put him back in bed, and caregiver went back to sleep. An hour later, my father got out of bed again, fell again. We were not notified of these falls by the caregiving company. There is video evidence of these falls. On at least one occasion, the caregiver tied my father to his wheelchair with a bedsheet (a wheelchair he was in as a result of the fall resulting in 7 broken ribs). This was witnessed by staff at the memory care facility my father is in. They did not feed my father or provide fluids. Multiple caregivers slept during their shifts - we have photographic and eyewitness evidence. Multiple caregivers spoke to our father in an aggressive manner. Caregivers were generally on their phones or watching inappropriate content (such as horror movies) while they were supposed to be caring for my father. These issues arose with multiple different caregivers at Cornerstone Caregiving. On each occasion, we called and spoke with the Operations Director for Cornerstone Caregivers of Royal Oak and he would assure us that he would address the issue, but nothing ever changed. We have terminated the contract with Cornerstone.
