When my Dad's health deteriorated to the point that hospice was an option, my mother and I met with representatives from Kindred Hospice. Their services were explained and my mom decided to use their services. My Dad was quickly declining however we were determined to keep him at home if possible. After an assessment to confirm he was eligible, services quickly started in the form of nurse visits and caregiver visits twice a week each, as well as on-call services available 24/7 and a social worker. The care provided was invaluable and provided my mom with in-home assurances that my dad was receiving the best care possible. Magda (caregiver) and Gloria (nurse) treated my parents with respect and helped my dad be as comfortable as possible. When my father fell during the night the on-call nurse arrived quickly, confirmed there were no broken bones, and had my dad settled back into bed with medication to help him feel better in no time. It was all much less invasive than a trip to the hospital would have been. When my dad passed away (peacefully in his sleep), the on call nurse arrived to make final arrangements. Getting him moved to the nursing home was handled professionally and kindly in a way that helped my mom at a very difficult time. I highly recommend Kindred and truly appreciate all they did to help my parents in a difficult situation. My dad was able to peacefully pass away at home and my mom knew that all had been done to ease his transition.

We got Kindred at Home for my dad. They come in, check in on him, and monitor him. It's only been a couple of days since they've been able to come on board.

The therapists, Amy, Kevin, and Alma were caring, professional, and very positive! They worked with me to stretch and strengthen my knee after my knee replacement surgery. I had an excellent experience with these therapists!

Gentiva is great. Grandmas has a nurse for an hour three days a week. Then, she has physical therapist, who has her up and moving. She is walking quite well and has really improved in the last month. She also has a bath lady that comes and assists me in giving her a bath twice a week. They've taught me quite a lot, and Grandma is doing great. She loves each and every one of them and works hard for Sarah, her physical therapist. We used to have to change her like a baby, but now she walks to the bedroom herself. Sometime she has an accident, but she is walking awesomely now and stands up on her own. In the last month, she has had a lot of improvements. They are great. I cannot ask for better people.
