My uncle, who is quite elderly, wants dearly to stay in his own home. He cannot manage by himself but thanks to the Home Instead staff I believe he is getting the best possible care in the comfort of his beloved home. I live far away from him and the office has gone above and beyond to help us with all sorts of issues that come up . They are kind and respectful to my uncle and always keep the lines of communication open.

The staff and caregivers at Home Instead allowed my 94 year old Mom to come back home to be treated after her hospital stay, instead of going to rehab. This was my Mom's wish, but especially important to me during this time of covid. The staff worked miracles in responding quickly to our needs and provided excellent care. The caretakers are warm and caring. They’re attentive to my father’s needs. They always offer to help me when I bring in the groceries. I also like the fact that your company test their employees weekly for COVID. This is important to me since my father is older and susceptible. The schedulers don’t miss a beat. If someone is not available they will find someone else to step in. I would highly recommend your service!!

We have used Home Instead to care for my husband who has advanced Alzheimer's disease. The caregivers were always on time and very professional. Many times they went beyond expectations taking him for car rides, ice cream and walks in nearby parks.

Home Instead provided care to our mother for over two years. For most of that time, she needed help with shopping and errands, as well as companionship. The HI caregivers provided that -- and more. They became friends who could provide support and reassurance to my mother. When my mother needed extra help with cooking, the caregivers cooked up wonderful meals for her. In fact, any time we needed to make changes to the caregiving routine (after a broken hip, during her last illness), HI worked closely with us to find the right people at the right time. My mother was determined to live on her own and thanks to HI, she was able to do so until her death. We're so grateful for the excellent care and kindness HI provided.

The administrators of Home Instead in Lexington were great. Very patient, knowledgeable, and caring. Clear communication both by email, telephone, and in person meetings in my father’s home. They were not pushy and waited until the family was ready for a care provider. We didn’t end up using Home Instead very much, as my father passed away sooner than expected. But, I was so grateful to have their advice along the journey. We used the help of a driver to go to the hospital one day, and were very pleased with the caregiver who provided that service, as well as the service itself, and the flexibility of the caregiver to work overtime without complaint.

When my mother came home from rehab and needed help a few days a week, the Lexington Home Instead team provided peace of mind, assistance and independence. She greatly appreciated the independence they helped to facilitate by taking her shopping, out to do errands, providing companionship, etc. Later, when my mother came home from the hospital for hospice care, the team was instrumental in helping me with the transition - both tactically and emotionally. They quickly provided care around the clock and worked closely with the hospice team to make sure my mother was comfortable and cared for, providing me with the support I needed during this challenging time.

My father was a client of the Home Instead Franchise in Lexington for almost five years. I hired Home Instead as an alternative to assisted living, which my father refused to go to. He needed companion care as well as meal prep and someone to run errands for him a couple of days per week.. We were never disappointed with the care givers. They were all well trained, reliable, punctual and in many cases retired professionals. To my father, the caregivers became his friends and he looked forward to their visits. In the end my father was diagnosed with end stage pancreatic cancer. Home Instead provided 24 hour care for the final weeks of his life. I look back and am glad I went with Home Instead as it gave my father what he wanted; to stay in his home of 62 years..

Home Instead has proved invaluable in helping my siblings and I manage the care of our parents in times of crisis and at the last minute. They’ve picked them up from the hospital, brought them to appointments and present during them when we couldn’t, filled prescriptions and even learn when they haven’t been filled. Kept us informed of their progress, eating, taking meds and other important information. Called us when something didn’t seem right. They’ve helped us understand the requirements to use long term care policies. I could go on. My siblings and I live far away and it’s like they step in and help as family would.

Home Instead took care of my aunt for over 3 years. They allowed our family to have her stay in her home which is what she always wanted. My aunt suffered from Alzheimer's and was very difficult to deal with the last year or so but the people from home instead took such great care of her. The women that came to the house had such compassion for her and understood that it was her disease not her that was being difficult. They said that they had gone through some type of training with home instead to understand how to handle issues with Alzheimer's. Two of my aunt's care givers even came to her funeral on their own time. My family was very impressed by that level of commitment. We would recommend Home Instead to any family looking for help.

The staff from Home Instead have been patient and very caring working with my mother who is struggling with physical limitations and emerging cognitive problems. She is very unhappy about needing care and insists on being in her own home. Home Instead has allowed me to be able to keep her in her home with the piece of mind knowing that she is cared for 24/7.
