For my husband, I hired Havenwood for respite care. They're outstanding. Their caregivers are excellent. I've been very pleased with their care. They provide 24-hour care. You can have two to three hours or longer hours. They do everything and provide what you need. They have excellent staff that assist your needs. They're all qualified, very efficient, and professional. You don't have to worry about leaving your loved ones with them because they're all certified; that gives you peace of mind.

I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to the staff and caregivers from Havenwood Caregiver Services in Boise. Overall, they served and cared for both my father and my mother for several years both in their home and for a short time in a local rehab facility. I can't say enough good about the above and beyond the call of duty the several nurses and care givers gave. They demonstrated patience, kindness, generosity, thoughtfulness and caring. when times got difficult with both Mom and Dad, I saw care givers manifesting optimism and well-placed light heartedness. My parents I know both appreciated those caregivers who without complaint were tender with them and willing to do whatever was needed to make mom and dad comfortable, healthy and in good spirits as much as possible. They didn't hesitate to help with reading to and with Mom and Dad, cooking, feeding them and keeping them clean, doing their laundry, taking out the trash, vacuuming and general picking up. They regularly took them to appointments, talked with doctors and kept the family abreast as to how they were doing. I would recommend Havenwood as an in-home health choice for anyone needing these services.

The interview was great. Very compassionate gentleman. My 89 year old mother requested a female, a non-smoker, and someone who wears no perfume. She was told that request would be honored. We did not get to meet the caregiver until the day she came to sit with my mother. The "caregiver" reeked of cigarette smoke and had doused herself in perfume to cover the cigarette odor. We called Havenwood - they asked us to give her a ride back to the office because her friend had dropped her off at our home. We would not. Several calls to Havenwood - each time being told her ride was on the way - and 90 minutes later, her ride came. As they were backing out of our driveway, they dumped the entire contents of their car ashtray in our driveway. Havenwood was contacted and I was asked to text a picture to them. I did. I was told the caregiver would be terminated that day. Havenwood apologized and sent me a gift card to a local grocery store.
