I used Just Like Family for my sister, and my feedback for them was really quite good. Many of the women who came were nice, but some of them had just a strong dialect that there was very little communication. With some seniors, there needs to be awareness that they are not going to be able to understand the language, and this has nothing to do with color or race or prejudice; it just has to do with communication. We had one woman who was very regular, but we had a variety, and that's another thing that I would recommend. I know it's not always possible, but sending a different person is entirely confusing. They would come in and make sure that she has had her medicine and breakfast. A lot of times, the girl would prepare breakfast and clean up the kitchen afterwards. My sister was very messy with clutter, so she was always cleaning up after my sister, picking things up, and offered her a little company as well. The pricing was pretty standard. They were always very prompt. Once in a while, there might be somebody who called in and come, and then they would offer to send someone else. Basically they were very dependable.

My uncle is using Just Like Family Home Care. They are doing a very good job. They are very accommodating and very sweet. They cook his food, do his laundry, and clean his house. They take him to the store, and they take him out for walks. They do everything.

Just Like Family was the agency that we got the private duty nurse from. The nurse was kind of extroverted and spoke loud. She went on a vacation and we had a substitute come in that my father obviously liked better, but my brother didn't want to change. I had no problem with Just Like Family. The first time we changed nurses when father wanted to, they sent one right away.
