I really like my caregivers. There are a lot of things I cannot do and she does it. I have insurance and they handle that. I do not pay and then send a bill to the insurance. The caregiver is very capable.

I would recommend them because I found the caregivers to be really on top of it. They were very much trying to take good care of me. They loved on me. They were great. I had to take care of an elderly mother and dealt with other agencies so I knew these girls were love-giving and nurturing, I felt very well taken care of. My surgery required a lot of aftercare and ice. They were very knowledgeable about that too. They did a good job I thought of making sure my recuperation started on a good note.

I think what we needed was different hours. It is hard because of overnight and the reality is that we need someone that can sleep in the same place. Most nights there was not really anything to do. It is hard to figure out how to arrange that. We had someone sleep there, but it was tough to provide elder care because the hours were difficult. I appreciated that they tried to match to our needs. They were very diligent.

It is hard to say the whole company is responsible, but one particular nurse was so talkative and had so much energy when I needed to rest. I have been in touch with Synergy. They have been excellent. Excellent follow up, very caring, very patient, very professional, very easy to work with. They come in for four hours, x number of times a week. There's no commitment as far as days. The only commitment is once they come out, they have to come up for four hours at one time but there's no contract or commitment of how many times they have to do that. They assist with the toileting or assist with taking my parents to the restroom. They can do light house duties, very light cooking if needed but mostly as companion. They drive them to the doctor. They'll take them to wherever they need to go in their car or my parents' car.
