We have Bristol Hospice come in to take care of my mom, and we have been using them for almost four months now. We chose them because they were the same ones who took care of my dad five years ago. They were really helpful when my mom took a fall, and she got a lot worse. I contacted them, and asked if I could have more care, and they almost doubled the care for her. She used to have a nurse once a week, and a shower lady three times a week, now she has three nurse visits and five shower ladies. They provide her with medication and items that she needs like the lift for the toilet seat, because my mom could hardly get up and down. They have some kind of a care program that they're just getting started in which someone comes in a couple of times in the evening to play her music that she likes from the 1940s, and they give her a weighted blanket and other things. I also got a twenty-four-hour phone number so I can call them if anything happens. They've been very nice, and they try to work with the scheduling, which is good for us.
