"I am very disappointed in the services that my mother received from Odyssey Hospice during her dying process. The staff at Odyssey new that she probably only had a week to live yet no one came by to see her that week as they indicated that they would we had one visit from the nurse but that was about it. I left a message for the nurse two days before she died so she could check her but she did not even show up until after she had passed away. We relied completely on the care of the nursing home and thankfully they did such a great job. "

"We used in-home hospice service from Comfort & Peace Hospice for my brother before he passed. I believe they offer both in-home and facility-based care but my brother didn't want to leave his apartment. They offered nursing assessment, case management, and in-home aides. They delivered medications and durable medical equipment for him. We had an issue with one of the equipment but they immediately came out and replaced the unit that same day. They were very responsive to phone calls and they were very courteous, considerate, and compassionate. There was no billing because my brother was a veteran, so there was no charge for us, at all. They were very responsive. They brought medications out quickly. They brought a wheelchair and oxygen machines with both the oxygen tank and oxygen generating device. At first, he was assessed by a nurse, and then I would get phone calls from a case manager and the nurse aides came out too and saw him every day. They also brought additional medications for him. We only used their services 3 or 4 days before he passed so it wasn't very long but I would recommend them. They were very good. "

"Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care of California came in three times a week to bathe my son -- he couldn't get out of his hospital bed -- and when I told them that he was going to be released from the hospital the night before, they took care of each and everything that he needed; they just bent over backwards. I couldn't have done it without them. When he died, they were still there for me. I would recommend them to anybody; they were great. The only thing I was upset about was when I wanted some 24/7, they never had a volunteer come in here and take over, so I had to call my friend and assist whoever I can get because I couldn't even go to the doctors for myself. That was the only thing I had contention with. Other than that, they were just bending backwards for him and for me, and even afterwards. It was pretty positive, and I was happy with them. "

The Silverado nurses (Allie, Marcel, and Tim) visited my grandmother frequently and always called to give our family updates on her health status. Their interactions with her were kind, sweet, and gentle. Our social worker, Selena, was very relatable and spent an unrestricted amount of time asking us questions, answering ours, listening attentively, and offering sound advice when needed. She also did activities with my grandmother and helped to make her as comfortable as possible. Chaplains Ron and Evan also visited with her, read to her and brought some brightness to her life. When she took a turn for the worse one of the doctor's came to assess her very late at night. Even the person that answers the main line is polite, cheerful, and relays information quickly. We are so incredibly thankful to Silverado Hospice for the great care they took with my grandmother and our entire family. I would recommend Silverado time and time again!"
