"Ihave attended several of their community bereavement services which have been wonderful, very compassionate and very thought out . As a non-medical Hospice they offer thoroughly trained volunteers, bereavement support groups of all kinds and one-on-one counseling. A terrific resource for those who are having a difficult grieving process. Most services are free. I work in hospice and refer many people there. "

"We just started using Buena Vista Hospice Care. I’ve met the bath lady, the nurse has been here twice, and the social worker has been here once. So far we’re very satisfied with their services, they’re nice when they come, and they seem to make my mother feel better. I would recommend them. "

"What a blessing it was that my to be able to have my close family friends be taken care of by Oakhurst when my dad became terminally ill. When it became apparent that he was declining, everyone was anxious about how to continue care for him. Through the team, education and emotional support were provided which allowed for the whole family to come to terms with his declines and still provide a semblance of care for him with the understanding of what is needed for comfort. Knowing that his needs were taken care of from the start was immensely valuable in our grieving. Thank you so much!"

"This will be difficult to write. Why? Because I cannot simply say "incredible" over and over. The truth is that everything at Silverado Hospice was absolutely incredible, from the individuals working as receptionists, volunteer coordinators, volunteers, to the fun activities and help events set up by the people working there. Everything was wonderful. I remember a blanket drive that I worked on, trying to get individual, unique blankets for hospice members. We ended up filling an entire room with blankets, many bought by employees at the hospice. People at Silverado really care about their patients and view their work as a personal mission. It isn't just a job, it's a life for them "
