"Had such an incredible experience with Generation Care! I know that my grandfather felt loved and supported the whole time he was in care. Our nurses would always arrive on time, be very responsive, and provided the best in-home care we could've asked for."

"My dad and my mom used Buena Vista Hospice Care. They were so good with them. They come in two to three times a week to get there vital signs. They also make sure they are doing okay and made sure she had all the right medications. When it came to a point that my mom was passing away, they were there more often and made sure the right stuff was distributed. The last few days they made sure she is having less pain. "

"This will be difficult to write. Why? Because I cannot simply say "incredible" over and over. The truth is that everything at Silverado Hospice was absolutely incredible, from the individuals working as receptionists, volunteer coordinators, volunteers, to the fun activities and help events set up by the people working there. Everything was wonderful. I remember a blanket drive that I worked on, trying to get individual, unique blankets for hospice members. We ended up filling an entire room with blankets, many bought by employees at the hospice. People at Silverado really care about their patients and view their work as a personal mission. It isn't just a job, it's a life for them "

"Ihave attended several of their community bereavement services which have been wonderful, very compassionate and very thought out . As a non-medical Hospice they offer thoroughly trained volunteers, bereavement support groups of all kinds and one-on-one counseling. A terrific resource for those who are having a difficult grieving process. Most services are free. I work in hospice and refer many people there. "

"Choosing EASE OF MIND Hospice Care for our loved one was the best decision we could have made during a challenging time. From the outset, their kindness and compassion were apparent in every interaction. Representative, S. Bailey introduced us to EASE OF MIND Hospice Care, and she is truly exceptional! She went above-and-beyond to make sure everything was in place for my mother-in-law who was moving in with us. She showed us how to use the hospital equipment, and took time to coordinate everything so we did not have to worry. The staff was in constant communication, treated my family with utmost respect and empathy, taking the time to understand our needs and concerns. Their genuine care included emotional support and comfort which was invaluable during such a sensitive period. What impressed me the most was the personalized attention we received, tailoring their care to meet our specific needs and preferences. This personalized approach made a world of difference and ensured that my loved one felt respected and cared for until the very end. I cannot recommend EASE OF MIND Hospice Care highly enough. They exemplify kindness, caring, and empathy in every aspect of their service. Choosing them brought peace of mind during a difficult time, and I am forever grateful for their compassionate care."

"I don't know where to start.. Losing a parent to pancreatic cancer is a devastating experience. Everything is fine and suddenly you are told he has few months, that's it. When we got introduced to the idea of hospice I was hesitant, but choosing Olympus was by far the best decision we made. From the very first call they've made to the very end Olympus was helping us every step of the way, caring for my father and helping us to deal with the unfortunate and unexpected fact that my dad is going to go soon. From the admitting nurse( Zara ) to the follow up nurses, to the social worker- I felt like I had an extended family which I never knew about. But the most surprising thing was that we didn't have a good insurance, it was some kind of Medi-Cal HMO that gave them a hard time and they wasn't even sure if they will get paid. Yet, that didn't stop Olympus staff from caring for my father like their own. Our family was deeply touched by their approach and we are eternally grateful for everything they have done for us. Anna"

"This is the best hospice place. My aunt who had dementia was managed by them for a year. Her caregiver belonged to a caregiving service that she had for 7 years and not Skirball. The last year of her life, we used Skirball Hospice. Everyone was wonderful and incredibly knowledgeable. This a first class operation. "

"We were using VITAS Healthcare for my mom when she was still alive. They supplied all that she needed that a hospital would supply. She had a bath aide and an RN that comes into our house once a week. We chose them because they were highly recommended. We were with them for two weeks, and they were excellent. They carried out everything that they promised. "

When faced with a terminal illness, hospice offers a solution for patients with a goal of returning home and spending the time they have left surrounded by family and friends. It's the ideal choice for patients who are no longer with to pursue ineffective or cumbersome interventions. This family-centered approach provides pain management, emotional healing and spiritual support in the end stages of life and in the place where most of us are most comfortable, right at home.

"We are choosing Mary Ellen Homes for my godfather because my godmother was there for hospice care before her passing 2 years ago. They were very compassionate and kind. The place was very clean, and she was cared for very well. The rooms were large and clean. They had a big TV, they had crafts, and they had activities for the residents. I've only talked to Gohar and I believe she's the one that was in charge there. She was amazing, kind, and compassionate. She was willing to accept what Social Security offers, so it was a great help to us."

"I was highly impressed with the staff at UCLA Medical Center. They didn't treat their patients like a "number" - but rather an individual. Many students from UCLA are also doing internships - and are truly interested in learning how to help people - rather than "just making money" as many doctors seem to be. I highly recommend UCLA Med. Center to anyone who is having any type of medical problem. "
