Just had a visit from Home Health.. Had to call them myself today and ask why no one showed up yesterday or today and didn't call?? They never followed up after my Mom's d/c from the Hospital. RN came who couldn't answer any of the questions, didn't want to move my Mom to evaluate the wound, wanted us to do everything. When asked when someone will come to help me wash/bath Mom, she said at first Pt has to come to eval home/shower, order DME, put an order.. meanwhile.. family can do whatever they want to do.. Can not believe that it was RN visit. American Home Health of San Diego... 1 star out of 10.. very poor service. Called the last HH we used - immediate response, they will send everyone tomorrow!!!!

I had used this agency over a year ago and was not thrilled but I was convinced by one of their employees to try them again after yet anther hospital stay for my mother.. I must say the whole office has changed and with it the care and professionalism. My Mom got excellent care and the staff went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied. I am absolutely glad I tried them again!

I have had much experience with home health care providers. The office staff of this one seems uncaring, inept and either forgetful or just lies. They NEVER return phone calls from their patients, never let the patient know what or when to expect a nurse or clinician. The only person I found there who gives a darn if the patient gets the promised services is a nurse names Christina.
