We have been using FirstLight Home Care of South Placer County for two weeks now. They came right out and did an assessment. We had a kind of concern about one of the caregivers, so we've got another one now. We're just kind of getting started, but any time I've called and had any communication or interaction with the staff, they've been very attentive and friendly. I have appreciated them so far. I haven't had any issues. They seem to be willing to work with whatever we need.

We got Firstlight Home Care Of South Placer County for my mother. It's been OK so far, so the caregiver that we have is very good. She plays a lot of games to help with her memory deficiency and cognitive impairment. I think my issue so far with the agency or company is the communication is not great. The caregiver that we have isn't able to do some of the activities that I had requested be a requirement, like taking my mom on walks and that sort of thing. But it's been OK. I would say the thing they need to improve is communication, like in the times where we needed, the caregiver was unavailable, or we needed to schedule different hours with a different caregiver, no one would call me with an update. I ended up having to call like a day or two before the day I needed a caregiver just to follow up to see if they had found someone and they had not. They seem a little understaffed. But once you are talking to them, their service is very nice and they seem to be good. Billing is pretty straightforward. Scheduling is a hit-or-miss affair.
