Centennial Inn Senior Living Community, is located in the lovely historic downtown area of Oshkosh, Wisconsin. We visited the facility while searching for a place for our aunt to live in the area. We liked the grand exterior with its stately wraparound porch. It looked like a large estate, rather than place where seniors live. The outside area was very nicely maintained. The facility can accommodate all levels of ambulation. The foyer featured a closed in porch which gave access to the outdoors while inside, with fresh air and natural light. Decorations and furniture were all lovely and easy to access. The colors throughout the building were soothing and comfortable. All of the indoor rooms had plenty of fresh air and light. Each room was beautifully decorated and furnished. Communal activity rooms were spacious, with comfortable furniture and nice decors. The main living room had plenty of light with a cozy fireplace. Activities are designed around the things that residents enjoy. The seniors can easily socialize, play games, watch TV and films and participate in many stimulating activities. The exercise room features aerobics and yoga classes and nice equipment to use. The residents go on many trips to visit local and surrounding art galleries and museums, and also eat at casual and fine restaurants. Large built in wood cabinets graced the dining area, which gave it a really homey feel.The dining room was quite nice, with plenty of space. The food we saw looked and smelled delicious. The menus all had healthy food options for all kinds of diets. Healthy snacks are offered all day and into the evening, as well as whenever residents request them. The private rooms featured plenty of air, light and space in nicely decorated surroundings and comfortable furniture. The residents looked very well cared for and content in this living environment with and considerate and kind staff.
