"My husband was in Clarkston Health and Rehabilitation of Cascadia for four months. It's a wonderful place. The staff was very friendly, very alert, and attentive. The food was delicious. I'd eat with him a couple of times a week because the food was so good. It was clean. It was run very professionally. The rehab facility was bar none. It was great. I have nothing but good things to say about it. They had an activities room and they had parties, movies, bingo, and activities. They treated him well. They were very attentive, and the nurses were great."

"This is the only full-time skilled nursing facility in the area. It's a very small, crowded place, and not large enough to handle the demand. So it's not very good for a long stay. My wife's been there on three different occasions. I think they did well as they could. It's not a place that you want to settle down for several years. Maybe just for a couple of weeks or so for rehabilitation. They need to expand their facility. "

"My mom is in Golden Girls Residential Care. Primarily, we chose it for its location. Plus, they could take care of all levels of care. They got high recommendations from the people who live there, too. It's clean, homey, and has a good vibe. The staff over there are very professional and very compassionate. There are a lot of registered nurses and CNAs present quite often. The food is nutritious and diverse. They have a lot of different recipes they use so I don't think it's going to get boring. It's homemade food, too. It's just a very small home, like a community house. I visited and called quite a few different places and out of all of them, this is the one that stood out."

"My father has moved into Idaho State Veterans Home - Lewiston. I like them a lot. I think they do a good job. They take 24-hour care, and the nurses, from what I observed, are friendly and nice to the residents, especially to my dad. They've been doing a lot of fixing up, and I like it. It's not so clinical looking, and it doesn't look like a hospital or an actual nursing home that you walk into. Every time I've gone there, the rooms are clean. There's nothing on the floors, and there's no mess in the bathrooms or anything like that. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They've never put me off when I've asked questions and stuff. They have given me straight answers. They have games and bingo of course. They always give me a calendar of activities for each day."

"The rooms are huge and very clean. They have been upgrading this facility on a regular basis. The staff are some of the most loving and kind people we have ever met. During the pandemic everyone from the Administrator, all nurses and all staff worked endless days and hours to make sure everyone received the love and care they deserved. My family was updated regularly with status. It was explained that during the pandemic they could not have large group activities but the activities people and the rest of the staff visited every resident several times a day to help keep away depression. My mom had an upbeat attitude every time I called her. I am so thankful that we chose this facility. Heroes definitely work at Wedgewood Terrace. "

"I visited Life Care Center in Lewiston, Idaho in 2010. Both my grandmother and one of her close lifelong friends were patients there. While visiting this facility I saw a wide variety of both quality professional conduct and conduct boering upon abuse. My grandmother was admitted for a short-term stay for rehabilitation only, she reported to me that the nurses were condescending towards her and she felt very insulted. I personally witnessed her friend being mistreated by a certified nursing assistant, who wrongly claimed to be a nurse when she was not. Most staff, including the physical therapists were very professional in conduct and treated my grandmother with respect. Some nurses were also extremely professional, while others were unprofessional and rude. I would not like to see any of my family members to ever be patients in this facility again. My recommendation to anyone with family members in this facility is to visit often and keep an eye on how your relative is doing, ask them how they are being treated and listen to what they have to say. Watch for bruises and a change in behavior. "

"My mother-in-law has moved into Hill-Ray Plaza. It's right across the street from a hospital. That was the first one we went to, and that's the one she liked, and that's what we stuck with. They were clean. It smelled good. It didn't smell like an old folks' home, and the food smelled good. Everybody there that you saw in the hallway or on the grounds smiled and talked to you and visited. I was just impressed with that. She gets food twice a day. They have a monthly activity plan. You can go to the calendar and sign up if you want to go on the tour bus. They were going to a winery and the casino. Every day, there's an activity after lunch and dinner. She talks about playing cards and bingo. My brother-in-law did not complain about the food, so that's always a good sign, because he is a complainer. The value for the money is good so far. Her room is great and just the right size, and there's a ton of storage."

"The people at this facility genuinely care about the residents. It is a smaller home, I would say averaging six residents. Joyce and her help not only take care of their residents physically, they also treat them as actual humans, not just some number. They provide transport to and from personal and professional obligations. For example my aunt needed to visit with her insurance agent and no family was available to take her, so Joyce transported her all the way to the agent's office and back. They also schedule trips to community events, stores and even the local farmers market. The employees make sure to tell me if there in anything my aunt needs or anything that they have noticed which is out of the ordinary and may need to be addressed. The atmosphere of this is that of a family. Holidays and life events are celebrated with the residents and outside friends and family are always made welcome. The facility is clean and well maintained. The residents have the choice of just a single or a double-occupancy room depending upong what their needs and desires are. It is Joyce's which has allowed my aunt to thrive instead of just mark time in these latter years of her life. "

"I visited a family member four months ago who was staying in Royal Plaza. My mom had also been to Royal Plaza for several years. It was wonderful and everything was nice. It was in a good location. It was a good place for mom to be in. The care was excellent. They were friendly and really considerate of the people who were living there. The food was good. The rooms were nice, well set-up and quiet. They also had a care facility in the same building. So, when she needed a little extra, she was just moved down the hall and it wasn't like she was moved to a nursing home. I couldn't say anything bad about it. "

"My mother moved into Royal Plaza Retirement & Rehab Center, and it's been a very good experience. They take care of her, and anything you want, they try to get. I've eaten there a few times, you hear complaints, and you hear how good it is, but when I ate there it was OK. It was very nice, quiet, clean, the people were friendly, and when she first moved in two or three of the people who lived there got a hold of her and asked, " Is there anything I can do? We want to be your friend." Yes, it's very good."

"The staff was absolutely wonderful and caring during my mother's end of life care. It is an older facility and could use a few updates in the rooms and beds, but overall I couldn't have asked for a better place for my mama."
