The people at this facility genuinely care about the residents. It is a smaller home, I would say averaging six residents. Joyce and her help not only take care of their residents physically, they also treat them as actual humans, not just some number. They provide transport to and from personal and professional obligations. For example my aunt needed to visit with her insurance agent and no family was available to take her, so Joyce transported her all the way to the agent's office and back. They also schedule trips to community events, stores and even the local farmers market. The employees make sure to tell me if there in anything my aunt needs or anything that they have noticed which is out of the ordinary and may need to be addressed. The atmosphere of this is that of a family. Holidays and life events are celebrated with the residents and outside friends and family are always made welcome. The facility is clean and well maintained. The residents have the choice of just a single or a double-occupancy room depending upong what their needs and desires are. It is Joyce's which has allowed my aunt to thrive instead of just mark time in these latter years of her life.
